Thread: HOW DO I BREAK CLOAK?

Keep them within 20m of you, a mob, a NPC, or even a bike and they will be unable to cloak.
Once they do Cloak there is nothing that can break it other then the Jedi running out of force and unless there is ALOT of things around to drain their force they can remain cloaked indefinitely.
Cloaked Jedi are also Vulnerable to area attacks. Some claim this to be an Exploit but I don't think so. CM's also have a way of applying their Debuffs and DOT's which IMO is an Exploit as they are not supposed to be able to target us and that is a Direct target attack.
I suggested that Bomddroids should be able to break Cloak but very few seemed interested in the Idea.
It would be a reasonable Counter but Majority IMO just want the skill nerfed rather then having a reasonable Counter.

Well, I was attacked by one while cloaked and continued to hit him for a good minute, until it appeared to break. Maybe he did it himself though.. who knows.
There is a bug where even though it looks like you are cloaked you are not and can be hit.
The same goes for you are cloaked and are able to attack.
I've had both of these happen to me.
If you are cloaked and are still able to be attacked. Disengaging and rengaging cloak fixes the problem.
IF you are cloaked and you are able to attack things while cloaked doing the above solution also fixes it.

Yeah it sucks because the combat log willsay the bomb blast did xxxx amount of damage making you think it's actually effective. I've used 5 bomb droids on a single mark thinking it actually did something, due to the combat log.
Also poison/fire can never kill a person. Try it on any creature, it takes them down to 1 damage but never incaps.
I wonder how many it would take to start draining force. You could pull multiple speeders out, and pets. I wonder if that would work.
Cloak has many issues still, CM's, shadows, follow, examine, etc, but regarding "breaking cloak", if the cloaked jedi has auto-attack set and gets hit by area attack(attacks with state/posture changes seem to work better), chances are it will break as a result of entering combat mode. Its not 100% as far as I have tested, but it does happen. To drain a full temp with regen tapes, bring alot of friends.
Jedi would cry about that one IMO. I think they should have to break argo once in combat to re-use cloak ( just like getting a stim or food out a crate when in a fight you have to break the argo to get it out ) then the fight becomes you having to keep them in argo and them escaping it.... with all the jedi skills available only the babys would cry about that its not hard for jedi to get out of a argo...root,snare,stasis,FR1-3,Burst run,KD all help with this and 90% or more of jedi have 1 or more these skills.
