Thread: CSR says to stop reporting overloaded sabers

why?
Because he bumped the post every minute :/
max possible damage on a saber is 250 or so on the hilt + 120x4 from the pearls..
730 or so max
+30% elemental damage
730 x 1.3 = 220ish
so round it off and include someone that might have a nice damage experimented pre CU hilt.. and you get about 1000 maxdamage - 900ish min damage
ok imagine you have no defences.. power attack has a modifier of about 3x - so thats 3k damage..
take into account 40% energy resist armour (pretty standard basic armour) - Armour break it - takes it to about 17% protection.. your looking at2300 hit - perhaps more if your KD
so Absolute best a jedi should hit a BH for when they are KD with poor armour on is 2000ish with the very best most perfect saber under ideal conditions..
more realisticly power attacks of 1500 or so are achievable by a good jedi with nice pearls.

CSR said this to a guild member of mine. i swear by this and I trust him most on my server. why would they say this and what is the absolute max i should be hit for?
Probably told him to stop because he was reporting it as many times and as frequently as you were bumping this thread, when in fact, each of the reports turned up perfectly legitimate sabers.

Can you please state the exact words the CSR used?
Did he say specifically to stop reporting exploited sabers, or did he say to stop reporting saber because all he reported turned out to be legit?
There is a difference between reporting just for the heck of it when you get hit for 1000 damage (which is perfectly legal) and reporting a hit above 2000 damage (which is not possible assuming even pretty low-level BH equipment).
If you swamp a CSR with unjustified claims of others exploiting he will tell you to stop because you pretty much steal his time. If you dont know a lot about lightsabers and combat mechanics, dont report.
Best thing to do if you suspect saber overload is make nice with the jedi. Tell him good fight, discuss tactics etc etc. Do not let on that you even remotely suspect the saber was overloaded.
Next, get screenies of your combat log.
Then get screenies of your Armor.
Chances are, if you have a nice set of 8100 Energy Resist Tantel Armor, sliced for 75% AB reduction and you got clobbered with 2-3k LS hits ..... suspect foul play.
If you rolled up on a Jedi in Composite with 3100 Energy Resist, then you need to learn your profession.
But above all, do not tip the jedi off that you think he has exploited his glow-stick. Just get your evidence to a CSR.
Some CSRs typically side with Jedi and say, "Oh I can't help you with this ... blah blah blah, policy blah blah blah."
If you get that answer, post the screenies to both the BH and Jedi forum and let both sides figure out what happened. Also contact another CSR.
