Thread: Why DPS is over rated

There is a lot of talk about uber DPS this and uber DPS that. Tell you the truth this can be a bit over rated. Why? Damage per seconds is based on the assumeption that you can managed to sustand damage output for a extended period of time.
What good is a 337 DPS Advance Laser rifle when you have a SAC of 130? A few shots and your out of action and no longer have the ability to deal damange except for a long delay.
DPS can be useful for selecting a gun but remember take SAC into account.
No amount of DPS will save you if you don't have the action points to shoot your weapon.

ya i don't true soe anyway, they alwasy mess stuff up so i'm doutfull they figure it out right

That was pointless and not needed.
/bump would have been more effiective.

people seem to forget specials are worked from the min/max of the weapon, not the dps
