Howdy folks!

I'm new to the world of bounty hunting, having returned after a long absence to check out the post-CU experience.
So far I'm finding it really difficult! I have found myself unable to solo normal destroy missions while working up my marksman and scout branches to reach Novice BH and have had to rely on the lowbie monsters outside Bestine to gain XP.
So I finally reach Novice BH, take a mission (level 16) and after the 9k slog out to the target, I find it's a level 45 target. Needless to say I get mullered. I try another (level 15) and get the same thing. I take another, this time I get a level 30 target but that's still too high for me by quite some way as I am only CL 19.

Am I missing something? Are you supposed to have the weapons trees done before you can attempt even a novice mission? If so, what are you supposed to do for cash, to keep you in stims and food until you get a decent CL?
Without armour (as with most newbies, I do not have the 90k ish needed for even a basic set) , even destroy missions 3 levels below me can be quite a challenge.

Please someone tell me I've encountered a bug and there really are level 19 marks for me to harass while I learn the ropes

lots of people have had this issue...try grinding your combat skills before you do the investigation, the NPCS for bh missions arent spawning appropriate to their mission level.

I had the same problem with those high level spawns. I went to Dantooine and did some serious grinding with a group. Only have one box left for the investigation. The Double XP was also a big help. Try finding a group to hunt with. It will make your grinding faster.

what's funny is that when i was a level 45 i kept getting level 20 or 30 marks lol. 1 carbine xp over and over and no combat xp
