What sort of Bounty Hunterwould ever consider this as a logical way to conduct business. I have seen a lot of out in left field ideasbut this has got to rank in the top 1%. Just imagine the conversation that would insue between the mission giver and the mission taker.

Billybob Contracter: I have a mark for you are you interested oh great BH?

BH: whats the marks name?

Billybob Contracter: Well I dont know

BH: what do you mean I dont know, did this mark steal your memory?

Billybob Contracter: nope

BH: Ok, lets say im interested in this mystery mark - whats in it for me?

Billybob Contracter: I dont know that either

BH: ok let me see if I get this right, you want me to hunt down and kill someone but your not sure who it is and then you will pay me something but your not sure how much -- is that correct?

Billybob Contracter: Yup, thats the deal , want the mission ?

BH: are you out of your mind - I am a bounty hunter not a phychic as far as I know the bounty could be for you or even me

Billybob Contracter: yes thats true so do you want the mission or not ?

BH: So if I do take this how do I get a biosig on the mark if I dont know who the mark is ?

Billybob Contracter: Well I dont know .. your the BH im sure you will figure that out

BH: You do do you, well I think I will pass on this one

where was this posted. i havent seen any offical statement or even in concept that they will be doing this to the bh terms? and i dont think they will i mean come on i know soe must have some sense in the corporate heads not to do somthing as stupid as this

I got this from tanks fanfest report: I hope it never does come to pass but heres what was said about it.

Blix: "The Jedi names and mission amounts should not show on the terminals"
Rebuttal:

If the names are truly anonymous it would be very possible to get the same mission on a Jedi that is on Kasshyk or sitting in a Cantina, AFK, in a player city, over and over again.
It would be also very possible to keep getting missions on Jedi that a solo BH has no chance of defeating (see rebuttle above). Obviously, no grouping would be possible.
It would also not be possible to ascertain a Jedi is online or know the faction of the Jedi.
It would also take away from the RP aspects of bounty hunting.
Kashyyyk has become Jedi grinding spot now, so BHs will not be able to hunt Jedi via PC informants there either (will cause even more resentment in the BH community).
BHs will not be able to use /tar Jediname when they get to their querry.

Solutions:

Make it so a Jedi is assigned a pseudonym when his mission is created. This way if he is on Kashyyyk or AFK in a player structure, the BH can pick another mission.
List only online Jedi missions on a SEPARATE PC Bounty tab along with their faction.
Allow the Arakydn droid toreveal the Jedi's real name along with the planet location so the BH can use his targeting macros later on, or abort the mission if he wishes at that point.
Again, if you are not going to allow grouping or not list bounty amounts BHs should have the skills/mods to take on a full template Jedi.
Add BH terminals on Kashyyk that will list only Jedi that are currently online, and on that planet, seeing that we would no longer be able to use PC informants. This way at least we'd be able to start looking for them (still would take a long while to manually search each instance).

One thing to consider before making any changes, if any, is that a lot of the complaints to date have been due to the fact that a lot of newbie Jedi had never PvPed, and also were under the impression that they had to drop non-Jedi skills to level effectively due to CL levels and Padawan effectiveness in solo play. So, when they started grouping and getting visibility, they got wasted.

Now, people are used to CU. Jedi are picking up skills like Rifleman/TK/Swordsman along with Jedi healing and defenses. As a result low level Padawans are actually MORE dangerous adversaries than mid-level Jedi.

It might not be necessary to make any changes to the BH/Jedi system to solve the problem of BHs picking on low level Padawans, as the problem seems to be solving itself for the most part.

I am ready to discuss any of these issues or possible solutions.

1. Nobody thinks that Jedi payouts should be unknown. What has been suggested is that the payout you choose be unrelated to the jedi's level. In other words you pick a mission for 92K, you might get a finished temp. Pick on for 226K and you may get a paddy. 150K, could be either. This way certain BH's can't continually grief a specific class of jedi. I would think it would add to you adrenaline, fear and uncertainty. It should make you missions more exciting. A real BH should welcome this.

2. You don't need a Jedi's name to hunt him. Show me one BH that pays attention to his marks name during npc missions. Why do you need targeting macros anyways? If you need them to fight, then jedi must need them too, right? So when you take a jedi mission the jedi should get a system message with the BH name so the jedi can make HIS targeting macro, right?

3. I don't have prob with you getting the name AFTER you use a probe droid to find the planet the mark is on and AFTER you use a seeker droid to get his possition.

4. The terminals should only show who's online at the time. Period. AFk and planet is irrelevant.

I have a BH that I use to hunt jedi, besides being a jedi. If these suggestions and changes upset anyone, then blame the subset of BH's who have used their possition in the game to continually grief specific players or groups of jedi, over and over and over. Don't blame the Jedi.

As for Kash. Quit beating this one to death. On the one hand, BH's complain about the overpopulation of Jedi, yet on any given server it isn't possible for more than 8 jedi to be grinding ryyyat trail per instance for a total of 48. There are more than 48 jedi roaming the npc cities every night doing PvP. Out of the thousand or so people on a server at any givern time there should be plenty of jedi not in ryyyat trail to hunt. Don't whine about myyydril caves either, because nothing stops you from killing your mark there. It just takes work. What do you want...only easily accessible jedi vunerable and out in the open? Perhaps the terms should have a 'remote incap, giftwrap and deliver' button?
