This will also give something to the bh community to do. Competition.
And the most important reason - to add more content.
but if whoever is mara jake lets the jedi kill her for like 20 mil.......whenever you have a reward for one profession that has no penalty for another profession someone is going to exploit it...like precu fightclubbing

You are very right that is a certain probability.
If the player who controls Mara is defeated even once he will lose the privilege of controlling her. Also the top BH status will be dynamic, always changing.

Love the idea but as you may have noticed, no DEV or anyone logs on as any of the Star Wars Characters, it was mentioned some time ago that LA will not allow it without preordained script approval. The do not want Mara or Leia running around saying hey noob I just pwned you, or Darth Vader getting ganked by a million players and the Dev losing his kewl and yelling Whos Your Daddy now Beyaotch when he flips into Godmode and area chokes every player in Theed.

Interesting idea. Won't happen though. Sorry.
The answer is Permadeath somehow, not how they used to be, but they need something. Like a horrible lottery, like the story if anyone read it.
Or, have a set of instanced quests for the Jedi. They would have to be extremely hard but even more rewarding. However, the catch is, Jedi dies, the Jedi is dead.
Since we have strayed from content give the Dark Jedi an oppritunity to be a Sith Lordling, nice clothes with good defenses, new powers a powerful sabre and stuff like that. Give the Light Jedi the same stuff but geared towards the light.
This stuff would be incredible for a Jedi, if only one Jedi had it they would easily dominate everything. However, once they die again, for anyreason they lose the bonuses and have to do the quests again.
Doing something like that would make Permadeath a choice. You don't have to lay your head on the block but if you do it might pay off. Then, any serious Jedi PvPer would do it, and some would die and be gone forever, and for the ones that make it they will be great for a time. They would be on the BH terminals permantly though and worth a ton.It would take at least a group of 10 to take them out but if they are worth 10 million to start with...

well that' ll raise the cost some then. what knight wouldnt put like 20-40 mil at least up to get extra skill points for their template

I am a jedi padawan,5 millions xp away from knight. I have been put back more than a couple millions xp by bounty hunters but it didn't reallysucceed in preventing from working for my knight.
A new more effective way is needed my fellowjedi hunters to cut down our numbers!
My suggestion is to let the highest ranking bounty hunter of each server tobe given the opportunity to log in asMara Jade (a full templated Jedi Knight andquite ahead in the FRS) andduel jedi knights.
The duels should be agreed by both the BH and the knight.
If the Knight wins he will gain extra skill points.
If he is defeated he will be banned for asignificant amount of time.
This way many knights will take the risk to duel a very competent PVPerplaying a very powerful character and very few will succeed. The cities will be cleared from all these lightsabers and some of the original trilogy flavor will return to the game.
Imagine the honor of being the most effective bounty hunter of the server and thereward to control Mara Jade,the Emperor's Hand, a powerful FRS progressed Jedi!

So you want me to let an NCP do my work for me? Maybe that's cool to other people but I'd rather do my own dirty work. I'd rather be called a n00b for killing a jedi myself then because I let an NCP do it.

No I am saying that the BH who proves himself the best of the server (how is a different irrelevant question) will be able to log in as Mara Jade.

no offense but i see no point in what you meant above...if you're referring to Mara Jade from the real star wars she isnt born yet. also, what would be the point of letting a bounty hunter log in as a jedi to kill other jedi?

Mara Jade is already in SWG...
She is the future wife of Luke and one of the Emperor's Hands during the rebellion era.
The point is to have a system that will lure knights into a trap tokeep them temporarily from sight.

What are you talking about buddy? In Dark Force Rising she is a full adult...
And she was in Jabba's palace also when Luke went to rescue Han.
