Hello -

I was just wondering what types of powerups other ranged bhs use for hunting jedi . . . I am a rifleman BH myself and I just wanted to get an idea of what other BHs think gives the best advantage in a fight against a jedi. Please stipulate what the mods of the powerup do as I can never remember what all the names are in detail. Thanks

I stipulate the use of ranged power-ups that reduce the cost of specials. Some may stipulate the use of one's that increase damage. Some stipulate that the stipulations are as stipulated.

Your best bet is to go with the Powerups that reduce your SAC (not exactly sure of the names of these). The ones I'm using cut my Action costs by approximately 29% while reducing my accuracy by about 11. I find that using these powerups I can spam my attacks almost infinitely.

LOL! Thank you for stipulating what you felt were appropriate stipulations

This response very much reminded me of Sheriff Justice in Smokey & The Bandit - "Why thank you Mr Bandit . . . and I'd just like to say that as the pursuer you are the best pursuee that I have ever pursued!"

Ok back on topic, anyone else got some magic powerup that they swear by?

SAC powerups are the only way to go. Its still nice to carry some crates of damage powerups with you though. I keep two weapons on my toolbar, one with a SAC pup and one with a damage pup. Usually start off with the damage pup one just to test the water but the action cost reduction is just too important for long fights.

"Gimme a Diablo sandwich and a Dr. Pepper, and make it quick I'm in a g** d***hurry!" -Sheriff Bufurd T. Justice

"Somebody chasing you?" -Bandit

"Ain't nobody chasin' me, boy." -Sheriff Buford T. Justice

I'm finding that the SAC is the best pup also. I seem to do alot more damage in the long run with them. It helps to use it on a weapon that already has an accuracy bonus or wear some tapes or something to make up for the accuracy penalty.

reinforced stocks are the only ones i use anymore.

dont settle for less than 25% SAC reduction, and no more than -15 accuracy penalty

"I saw that, you did that on purpose! I got the evidence right here . . . boy put the evidence in the car!"

"But Daddy . . . "

"Put the evidence in the car!!! I'm gonna BBQ your a*se!!!"

"Boy, put the evidence in the back seat . . . There is no way, no way that you could come from my loins. The first thing I am going to do when I get home is punch your momma in the mouth"

LOL! Dude, don't get me started on Smokey & The Bandit quotes . .. that movie was a fair bit before my time but, honestly, Jackie Gleason (not sure on spelling) deserved an Oscar for playing Sheriff Bufurd T Justice.

Kk back on topic . . . it seems that action reduction powerups are doing the trick for most people. Thanks for your help guys.

"That is not germaine to the situation."

"The g** d*** Germans ain't got nuthin' to do with it!"

Yeah but doesnt that get you into 'diminishing returns' when you are double elite combat profs?

Where the speed becomes less effective because your modifiers are too high to begin with...maybe im wrong tho? please someone explain if they can.
