Wow that took some reading.
While I can see what you are getting at, I cannot agree totally because:
1) This reads like a charter for spawn campers and loot whores - they are the cause of most hostility towards Jedi, not the 12yos running round Theed waving their glowbats.
2) After the "PvE oriented" players have ground their template in perfect safety they will be besieging CSRs with ticketsto have their toon PvP enabled so they can join in all the fun
3) Everything about the Jedi templates is geared towards combat and PvP, why get a Jedi template if you are going to RP a scout?
Although your intentions may be honourable any such scheme would just be hijacked by all the "l3370rz" who want an alpha character and think they are entitled to one without any effort or risk.

whilei've not heard anything myself about 'loot whores' the problem must exists, however i have to say again that 90-95% of the threads that i read both here and in the Jedi forum complain about the pure number of jedi and the problem of them abusing thier powers in public. it is just about all ANYONE complains about.

at this point the old 'you chose the life of a PvE Jedi, so deal with it' would in fact be the perfect respose.

everything about every Elite Combat profession is geared towrds combat, that is why the are called Elite Combat professions. I have managed to play Elite Combat Professions for two years without PvP and have had a GRAND time of it. there is no reason with the current changes in the game, the changes in the GCW and changes in the playerbase that PvE Jedi should not exist.

no system is perfect. i was not suggesting mine was a fool proof system. there isn't one. i DO believe however that it would be a highly efficient way of separating PvP players from PvE players. they have done it with the GCW and now it is time to move that thought farther along in the game.
thank you VERY much for taking the time to both read my post and for responding. your point about the tickets to the CSRs was well taken and not one i had thought of. imo all such tickets should just be delted.
