Hi all

Had MBH for quite a good while, and now have enought boxes to respec some of my other skills.

Although im not good at skill points math's etc, i could use a little help here

I was thinking of something like MBH / Mpist / 0400 CM (if possible)

Any thoughts or variations to this idea.

Advice greatly appreciated

You have enough skill points for MBH + one other Ranged Master and ONE tree in CM. This is provided you haven't used up your extra sp's on FS skills.

MBH/MRM + 4xxx or x4xx CM is VERY popular now, but at the same time, so is MBH/MCM 4xxx rifle.

There seems to be a big push for the BHs to go medical. This is a direct attempt on their part to try and be able to take massive damage, while being able to heal it. The problem I see with these templates are that there doesn't seem to be enough offensive power to kill a Jedi outright. These medical temps seem to be more geared towards draining down a Jedi's mind and or Force meters over the course of a prolonged engagement. There is nothing wrong with this style, just know what you are getting into.

My template is MBH/MRM/4xx4 pistol with a few FS skills mixed in for accuracy and speed. I have GREAT defenses, awesome offensive power, and I'm very effective with it. I can only heal myself with a stim D every 30 seconds (with ruby) and it works great for me and my tactical style.

As an example of how my template can be effective, I fought a MBH/MCM/Carbineer last night, and killed him after 15 minutes of fighting. He was FULLY buffed at the beginning of the engagement, and i only had 4 foods in me. He simply could not inflict enough damage through my 8000+ armor, dodge food, duelist macro, and defense points. I on the other hand, could not inflict enough damage FAST enough to kill him. He finally dropped when his mind failed on him. When I saw he couldn't heal any longer, I dropped him with a /KD then hit him with /divingshot, /sniper, /startle, /adv critical, /headshot He was done for then.

And all of that.... 15minutes of him stating me, dot'ing me, etc.... it just wasn't enough to get me. His weapons powers weren't good enough. Take it for what you will, it's only one example of a limitied engagement.

BTW, I don't like pistols much with a Jedi because you need to be withing 40m to use them. The Jedi can EASILY get within range of you, or hit you with their own ranged shots, at pistol range. I far prefer rifleman over the others, but I know people who have had MAJOR success with the MBH/MP/4xxx CM templates.

thanks for the advice man. It's really helped alot. Nice to see someone who can explain the in's and outs' of BH so well.

Ive never really understood rifleman that well and the best way to implement the professions' skills.

Are lazer rifles's more or less the best ranged weapon? Any advice re: rifles is appreciated.

many thanks bmill
