Thread: Mark warping or just me?

Just wondering if this is happening onlyto me with NPC missions. I get to the desired planet and launch a seeker to identify my mark. Wait for the mark to be identified then launch another seeker to track. The system messages start coming back with the updated waypoints. I hit the road to meet up with the mark. After several updates, the mark has not moved. All of the sudden, an update shows my mark has warped far away from the original location. Sometimes the mark even warps to a location behind me or that I've passed through.

I did stop and wait on one of my marks to let one of my seekers track the mark all the way through to the "lost track" message. Around the 3rd or 4th update message, the mark or waypoint warped to a new location.

I'm thinking this is probably server lag with the system? Happening to anyone else?

What people are saying about Bulwark:
Bulwark.....simply brilliant.
As much as i would enjoy forcefully inserting Bulwark into a wood chipper, he has a point.
We've already went on record as saying you're fine with us Bulwark.

Why are you launching a seeker to identify an NPC mark, seems a waste of a seeker.

From what I can tell it's always been happening. Back in the day before JTL and 1 minute shuttle waits, you could spend upwards of 20 minutes just tying to get to your mark's planet (you're on Talus, he's on Rori). By the time you'd show up, he's already warped and moving. But now with instant travel we're just catching them before they warp. As far as frequency... I'd wager it just seems more common because more people are doing the NPCs

I've noticed it happening more when the seeker is about to get to it's 10th identify or close to it. I've also seen that if you just launch your probe droid, the mark most of the time just stays in the same spot if you don't launch a seeker.

On the other side. I've found that if you know your mark has spawned in water, don't go near the mark, and just wait till your seeker is out of searches. Once it's out of searches, the mark will move to a different location.

Actually, I started identifying to see if it would stop the warping. It doesn't, though Warps happen regardless.

I've basically been a MBH since the launch of the game and played through all of the problems that have come our way throughout the years. All I ever do is hunt NPC marks (See, there are some of us who don't spend our lives hunting Jedi.) Since publish 21ish, this warping has been happening to me.

I haven't done a full scan yet. I'll try that tonight.

happens to me alot also. get within 500m of mark bam 2k back behind me. long time ago you could luanch your droid to see what direction he was heading after first report and go to the city/outpost that he is heading to. now i can go tru a whole search till it looses mark does not move. launch second head to mark get 500m or closer bam moves 2k 3k away from me.

what is wierd is you track a jedi with seeker you get the updates of there movement. npc not all the time.

Thanks. I'll be in game tonight and put in a few full bug reports on this.
