Thread: Group & Solo PvE MBH Template?

Hey all. I'm a Master Bounty Hunter, Master Commando, but I am currently tired of waiting for Commando to get fixed so I am dropping it.
I do not hunt Jedi, or do much PvP at all really. I was looking at a couple popular builds. MBH/MRifle/CM4000
MBH/MRifle/Pistol0404
I realize these are typical Jedi hunting builds, but they seemed rather effective for PvE as well.
I tend to prefer rifles, as the range is nice and it has good skills for pulling singles. I'm not sure what to put with it, however.
Tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

IF you have no intention of hunting jedi, then I would say, dont mess with CM too much. Use the pistol line, pick up root and intimidate. Stim and Ruby work fine, and usually, dont even need the ruby.

Makes sense. What is the typical strategy for a pull/kill with that setup?

I agree you wont really needCM for PvE. Also the pistols x4xx is more for PvP as it includes the "Fumble" shot which makes your target fumble their weapon and cant attack back for a move or so.
For pure PvE have you thought a bout getting some Ranger traps in your armoury. Fill your boots soloing Krayts until Ranger traps get nerfed (as they will after all the "only a Jedi should be able to solo a Krayt, nerf Ranger" whines)

Yeah I gave some thought to ranger but I wonder if its smart to pick something that will be nerfed soon.

you dont know if it will or not.
one thing about ranger is you pretty much can come and go as you please pve. at least where creatures are concerned.

Ranger is not the highest priority of the Jedi whinge list so it may take a while to get nerfed and even if you cant solo Krayts after the nerf, traps are still way cool for soloing lairs.
Agro 1 mob with your rifle then stick a trap on it when it charges you, pwn, rinse and repeat. Using this method carefully u can solo lairs all day without using a single stim.
If you want to solo PvE - ranger is excellent. If you are going to group hunt high end mobs then you will be able to find them quickly and trap them till the rest of the group arrives and will be Mr Popular in the group.

im actually thinking of respeccing to mrifle/mranger after i make dam sure my FS grind is finished and i have all the experience i need.

Yes, I want to keep my 900k Combat XP cap as long as possible! Im hoping to have enough this weekend to be done with it, and do whatever I want for the rest of the time.
