Thread: My first two hunts

Well, I just thought I would share my first two hunts with you guys.
I just hit Master BH and Master Commando, Pistoleer 0004 3 days ago. So I am still pretty new to this game. I stocked up on a bunch of food, upgraded my weapons a bit, got the best assault armor I could find, and I headed out to the terminals at Kadaara.
The first mission I took was a 80k Jedi I think. I have never pvped before so I thought I would start out easy. The mark was on lok, so I got there, drove to the nearest starport, flew to the nearest city, and headed out to the jedi. It had a mobile home when I got there so she ran inside right when I got within visual range. My first thought was... ok this is stupid, maybe I should drop the mission and get a new one. But I remembered one of the posts on these forums so I drove out pretty far away close to the city and waited. I put a new waypoint on her so I could sit and watch untill she moved. About 5 minutes later some guy rides up to me, I wave and say hi. He doesn't respond so I just ride somewhere else to wait. Some other dude comes and won't talk to me, so I am sitting here thinking whats up with these guys? Just sitting their speeder bikes next to me..... the I reaized...
SPIES!!!
Ok, so now I've got spies on me. So I drive to the shuttleport and pretend to be buying a ticket and waiting for the shuttle, and sure enough my suspicions were confirmed, the jedi left its house. So now I'm beginning to think this is getting exciting. So I fly to the other nearest city on a different direction and quickly get out so I don't get any more spies on me. Then I drive off to my player city to do some stuff so I could give the jedi time to think I dropped the mission. Sure enough when I was done with my stuff I sent out a seeker and they were by a lake in different spot. Excellent 
This time I know I cant stand around and prepare in range so I ride up, jump off my bike with my guns shooting off. She was exping in a group right now with a few jedi buddies and non jedi also. She immediately starts running to the house. It's far away and I know I can win before she gets there.
Heres some basic things I realized about jedi combat. I can't outdamage their healing, but the mind was going down so if I just held out the damage eventually she would run out of force and I would win. Sounds like a plan. So I am doing this chasing her, she gets on her speeder once or twice but I saved root and knockdown to get her off. Im like yay, I've got this jedi in a bag, 80k credits are mine!
Well as much as I'm enjoying this, suddenly this guy pulls up in a AB-1 and the jedi gets in. I had no idea this was possible so I am totally shocked. I busted her speeder but I can't destroy his. I knockdown to get her off, she just gets back in and drives away..... now my fun was runied. It was a good hunt, lots of tricks and I thought I was being so sneaky and patient, but this dude just rides up and I can't do anything against it. (Is this gonna get changed or is it a feature?). Well now that I know it is impossible to kill the jedi I chase em to the house and they get in and camp. At least my mission was sorta done. Jedi = not in galaxy anymore.
There was this guy outside asking me what im doing and I told him im camping the house untill she comes back, hoping he would tell her I'm gonna camp it and she would log on alt instead. We talk a bit and we duel, he is a lvl 69 jedi, and he owns me. We duel again and he kills me again. We talk a bit about tactics and I think what screwed me over was my flamer only had 25 range and pistol only had 35. So later that day I get a heavy lightning rifle with 95 sac and 1005 max damage.. and 65 range. I guess I should root them then get to 65 meters so they can't get as close.
So it was really late so my first hunt was over. Overall I thought it was a success because the jedi got hunted by a bounty hunter and couldn't do anything, I learned a lot about pvp and tricks jedi will do, and it was also reall fun stalking out in the houses watching my map, switching starports, and all that stuff. Felt like a real hunt.

My second hunt was less eventfull but different. I got a mission, 110k jedi. I send out my arakyd, dantooine. So I fly over there, he is at a starport so I am ecxited, this one should be quick. I get there and he isnt on the planet anymore, so I launch another arakyd and it says he is on kashyyyk space. So.. he is going to hunt on kashyyyk, maybe I can intercept him.
I get in my ship as fast as possible, hyperdrive to kashyyyk, and boost to the station. Land as fast as possible and wait by the kashyyyk starport when I land. Sure enough I beat the jedi and he shows up about 30 seconds later. I load up my armor, pull out my weapon, and open fire. I get him down to 50% before he realizes hes getting attacked, probobly not excpecting to get attacked on kashyyyk. The area by the starport has very little space and in my excitment 2 things happened. I forgot to use my food, and I forgot to get into an open space first. I get schooled by the jedi in about a minute, this time cause there just wasnt enough space and the food. He was also lvl 80.
I got a compliment about fighting him on kashyyyk and he said I will get better at pvp.

So all in all I'm liking this except now I just really gotta learn how to pvp so I don't get my ass handed to me by padawans and other people using their cars to get jedi out of danger. Also I guess now I will try to get top of the line equipment, food, powerups, all that, and maybe some day you will have a hard core jedi killer!

also another thing that youll learn over time, tactics, i have been posting them on this forum, and people are either loving them becuase of how sneaky and good they are, or hating me because they seem so cruel ( dont want to sound cocky, im just saying waht my messages are reading as ) but jedi will usualy jump into houses or cars or something, and just wait till you see the amount hiding on kashyyyk, its gonna be great.

Glad you're having fun in the profession!
Dont worry about errors you make. As you get more used to PvP you'll find yourself making less and less. The important thing is to know where you went wrong and make an effort to put it right next time!
I used to forget to eat my food too. What I do now is have all my food laid out on a separate toolbar pane and have that one up at all times unless I'm fighting.

If u have the crate in toolbar and hit the button for it does that mean u consume the food or does it just unpack it from the crate?

glad to hear you like it, I think its fun when you are like 1000m winthin the jedi and your heart starts pounding from the excitement

I use, blob candy, breath of heaven/brandy, pixie. Or at least I did when i was MBH/MRifle/PistolX4X4
