What ever happend to the Jedi TEF system?
You know the one I'm talking about! The one where any Jedi arrogant enough to equip his pajamas, use his powers, or wave a glow stick around in puiblic would result in a TEF from BOTH factions.
I remember the glorious days in Theed where some fool would whip out his LS in public and 30 people would open up on the poor sap.
You want to talk about how to make Jedi hide? Add the TEF system back in!
You want to talk about how to create LESS Jedi on the servers? Add the TEF system back in.
You want to talk about how to follow theCONTINUITY of the storyline? Add the TEF system back in.
And that last one is the one I have the most problems with. At this point in the timeline, the Emporer as decreed that all Jedi areabominationsand need to be killed on sight regardless of their factional alignment, personage, or heritage. The fact that SOE has removed this system further hampers continuity between the movies, comics, and books. (not to say that they were EVER that concerned with it) The same argument surfaces everytime someone mentions thesheer numbers of Jedi: If I wanted to playto see Jedi everywhere, I'd play KOTOR. Ineither agree or disagree with that. I think the Jedi are a good profession for the game. Definately "Star War" enough for me. It's just that they currently have NOTHING to worry about expect BH's.And with the new publish changes coming down, that won't be a problemeither.
SOE is saying in recent publishes that just because someone who decides to invest more TIME but notneccissarily more SKILL in the game, then they should be rewarded with an Elitist class of character. And that Elitist class of character gets more and more things to their benefit with each publish.
The argument that a Jedi player spent MONTHS or a YEAR grinding their character somehow entitles them to a handsdown BETTER character in EVERY CATEGORY is ridiculous. It's lunacy. They don't deserve a better character just because they were grinding out in the boonies someplace! I'm in for taking the mystique away from Jedi in the following manner:
Make Jedi a REGULAR profession, or quest driven profession line. (otherwords, EASILY attainable) and then bring back the Jedi TEF. We'll see how many Jedi we have running amuck then.

This system left when people exploited it sadly. Also we had alot more power back then to fend off people, obviously we are nothing more then mere shadows of that now.
I would gladly take back that (RISK) if I got back the (REWARD) of power again... in a heartbeat.
(I 'll gladly support you and this entire thread if that is what your pushing for, but again.. without the (reward) part its not even looking good.)
