That the old pre-requisite (beta) for BH was Master Marksman/Master Brawler? This makes ALOT more sense than mastering scout. We don't trap our marks, we dont harvest them, and camps are only used to bring out your vehicle/mount.


Tanks, if u could ask the devs to change this ASAP it would be greatly appreciate

I'd prefer to have master scout to master brawler anyday... mask scent, creature harvesting, terrain negotiation, and camping all come in useful. brawler level melee skills would be useless to a BH

Trapping may not help now but it gives an interesting insight into the future of the BH prof....

Traps for Marks and PVP purposes would rock! and make scout a more viable skill for us to have. Also the ability to track our marks to speed up the finding process. Maybe using terminals to track their last movements ( interrogating cantina bar workers, hacking bank terminals etc etc )

Well.....heres how scout may eventually work its way into our profession. Tanks asked us for PC trap sugggestions. WE did. The droid tracking is sort of like the npc and mob tracking that rangers get, only we get broken droids and dont really track. The terrain negotiation is a great thing to have and we should be familiar the worlds in which we hunt. That being said there is not really alot we use for scout right now. It seems that the tweeks to come will help us feel like we didnt waste our skill points as much.

harvesting creatures : We don't "hunt" creatures, we hunt NPC's/Jedi and hopefully PC's in the future.

Any of the lunge2's are 20m knockdowns


Intimidate 2 lasts for 3 minutes cutting your opponents damage by half


Warcry 2 is an AE delay for 20 secs.



Do you know how much damage we can do in 20 secs?

I made a suggestion on these boards that it is pertinent to this discussion. Please follow the link and respond, I think it makes some sense and would permit us to customize or combat setup to a further degree than we are currently able.

actually, my other character is a master brawler/tka... However I still findscout more useful. It gives us direct access to ranger, and ch should we want to pick up skills from them, and scout is also meant to be a wilderness type class... we spend a lot of time out in the wilderness. Vehicles may have lessened the utility of mask scent and terrain neg, but they were once both useful to us, and the class fits better. I can't imagine a bounty hunter going up to his bounty to engage in some fisticuffs. And if you want it for the warcry2 spamming stop playing BH and go play one of the cheese templates

I made a suggestion on the bh boards to allow us to drop a certain, limitednumber of skill boxes-say 1 tree's worth-from our prerequisite professions. So if you prefer brawler skills to scout skills, you could drop a few scout skill boxes 'out from under' the novice bounty hunter box to pursue other skills that you think are more useful. I haven't seen any responses to that thread that I started so I'll put it forward on this thread since it seems related to the topic of discussion. Actually I think the scout line makes more sense but if they would added these changes in it would really make scout more useful.


Master Scout +5 medical use (Give us the ability to use stim Bs.......first thing they teach in boy scouts is first aid)


NPC / PC Traps (I'd love the idea of using a trap to knock down someones ranged defense)


Just these two things would make the scout line useful. What do you all think?

I used to be in the +5 med use camp, but have seen enough posts now to understand that will never happen.


However, lowering stimA's to med use 1 and giving us and maybe a couple of other classes med use 1, might.


It would also keep those classes from healing wounds, it would be damage only and would not impact the actual medics.


Also it would generate a market for StimA's.

Yes this was the pre-requisite in Beta and it was retarted. Brawler is much harder to Master than scout and the BH's had no use for the skills they learned. If you think trapping is useless try using Wacry on a mark or a sword. The way it is now our Scout skills are pretty much wasted as BH's but it still makes more sense than having Brawler skills.

Mask scent and terrain neg.. who needs them with vehicals?


The opening up ranger, or ch is about the only added bonus scout gives us.


The terrain neg could be givin to us like they did the combat medics in their 4th lineto chase the mark once we attack if he runs, but other than that I will be on my vehical and don't even bother with mask scent anymore.


I never used a trap as a mbh, but I used camps non stop to cycle my mounts: mount 1 gallop, mount 2 gallop, burstrun.. back to mounts if needed, but with my speeder that is no longer needed.


I would like to see brawler over scout.
