I just log on at Dath and head out to hunt and about 900m out I find a baby craggy bolma, tamed it the first shot.

Yeah I came across a Lair with 2 babies. I tamed one then the Adults agroed me and db'd me. Not too shabby though cl47 11kham

another BH mission idea....

Actually I have been thinking about the new changes and they are bothering me less and less. My two biggest problems though are obviously the name and the level of the jedi. Most important for me is the level. Now I pretty much hunt anything under 200k because that is within my abilities. I have been beaten many times, I have won many times, and I even pull full template missions from time to time. I know a lot of you guys can probably take full template jedi solo, but I cannot, no matter how I slice it, I just cant find a way to beat them (unless they are AFK, LD, magically not responding, etc). With the new system it seems we are going to have a crap shoot as far as what jedi we will end up hunting. So, you may pull a paddie that takes you 4 hits to kill or a full template that kills you. I like the solo BH system and have only tried to group once for a BH mission, but I also dont go after full template marks. So I thought of this:

Open a theme park or quest that anyone can complete for content sake. Tie its content to bounty hunting and smuggling and allow the MBH to open access to a special type ofBH terminal (not just located in a theme park per se). This terminal would only contain jedi missions of full template jedi and higher (if they fix the FRS) and would allow anyone who had also unlocked access to the terminal to group up to five like BHs on the mission. Maybe even tie it all to an Underworld publish that focuses on smugglers. I think this would alleviate the low end MBH having to face down a randomly generated mission against a full template jedi, but allow them access to these with a group. Missions like these could be considered high priority missions issued by the Emperor or Vader and only entrusted to the Bounty Hunter's guild. Anyway, just an idea.

gank...I love that term. Ok let me see...A "normal" class BH is sposed to take out a Knight/Master 1 vs 1? DO tell how this is possible? I have a great knowledge off foods/drinks/spice, psgs, armor, weapons and am a pre-cu MBH with numerous kills and losses. You jedi scream that you are 1.5 times stronger and are the alpha class of JWG and should be able to take out multiple duel elite classes....then you accuse us of "ganking" you when we team up to take on a high level knight or above...so what do you want? Looks like your gettting it all as usual..enjoy KOTOR online....

Ok tell you what show me a Knight let alone a Master on a LIVE server and I will concede your point.

There are no Knights only full template padawans.

When FRS went away so did all their bonuses.

Make yourself feel as big as you want since the CU NO BH has killed a Knight cause THEY ARE NOT THERE!

Actually, I have never once hunted a mark in a group as a BH. All my kills have been 100% solo even against groups back when GTEF was around.I will hunt anything, anyone, alone. The problem is not knowing the level. And when I say level I dont mean 150k vs 180k, I mean full template vs anything below. There is a big difference, for me since I am not all uber PvP person. That means I dont normally take a jedi mission that is full template. I usually hunt jedi around the 150k range or higher.

TBH, the whole point of my post was to discuss an idea behind hunting full templates. As our astute observer on the forum pointed out that there are no knights post CU (you smart guy you), that doesnt mean there wont be ever again. At this point taking a full template solo is near impossible for the majority of MBH in this game. Once they reinstate the FRS there will be no way for MBH to solo an FRS jedi without a group. My suggestion was to allow MBH to unlock access to a special terminal that allowed them to group for full template and higher only, leaving all the gentle padiwans to solo BHs.

I bet you are a hit at parties. JoBo seems to be speaking generally about BH/Jedi in both pre-CU and Post-CU, so you are really just stating the ultra obvious to everyone. I thank you for that.

I never said it was impossible, but for a lot of MBHs it is. If that content is to be gated to me since I dont have hours to spend learning a video game then so be it, but dont make my BH mission a crap shoot where I have no idea the level of content I am getting.

If you hadn't caught it yet the devs have instituted a low level "risk" for BHs. Considering that the worst thing that might happen is you may not kill your Jedi that is not so bad. Especially in that if you win your target actually looses time they have spent in the game.

Considering the calls for BH Skill box loss, Time restrictions on pulling missions and whatnot. Be glad all they did was make MBHs work for a living. And again if you cannot solo a Jedi by yourself as an MBH. Then maybe you need to talk to your community about ways they are accomplishing that on live servers right now. I can tell you the #1 response will be "Known when to engage and when to let the jedi wear themselves out more".

I am just trying to get some of these conv. past the point of "Grrr I cannot gank/grief anymore". When it comes to removal of the jedi names from the terminal you may want to look inside the BH community rather than external sources. It is greifing that brought these changes pure and simple. I would neversuggest all BH do this. But the fact is there has been aHighly visible albeit smallportion of the BH community continually griefing lvling paddies. Not just hunting but singling out by name calling in guildmates to finish a mission the first could not finish. Or my personal favortie hunting specific Jedi that choose not to fight them.

Again this is not attacking you or the BH community. Just the small Highly Visible segment of the community that has exploited game mechanics to single out and grief individual players or lvls of players.
