How do you get a boss mission? Is it just any mission that pays 30k or higher, or CL 80 or higher? I heard the boss marks drop better loot, but Im not sure if I've ever pulled one.....

The level doesn't matter. I'm just a CL73 with invest 1 and 2 doing missions around my level and still get them from time to time. The only way to know you have a boss is it takes 3 - 4 times as long to kill one.
...and the loot is much better.

lol I was just about to post a thread asking this question. I wasn't sure if there was some trick to making sure you got the boss missions

To identify a boss mark, it will have marks around the name like this: <NPC Name>
Double bosses will have marks like this <<NPC Name>> but the marks will be gold. Double bosses can sometimes be found lurking in cities and attack you even when you don't have their mission or aren't even a bounty hunter.
Regular non-boss bounties don't have the marks around the name. They don't typically have good loot, but I have gotten nice SEA's and weapons parts from them on rare occasions.

30k health marks are random draw. and sometimes they drop good loot but sometimes you will get smug piece or crap like bugs and melons.

Mobs with the single silver < Name > are elite, and the double << Name >> signifies boss. Double boss is the term used by some to describe a << Name >> mob with 30k+ HPs.

I had a boss the other day that took me about 30 min to kill...he incapped me about 5 times.
when I finally killed him all I got was a stinkin mandalorian frame!!
