Thread: Need advice on weapon alteration..

LD-1

Attack speed: 2.5

Modified speed: 1.5

Damage: 458-915

Accuracy bonus: 0

Wound: 0.9%

Base DPS: 274.4

Modified DPS: 456.23

SAC: 95


I recently dropped carbineer for rifleman, as I want to try out a different style of fighting. With rifleman, I'll have to adjust to the SAC costs as well as the slower speed. I grabbed myself a LD-1 rifle and now I am sitting here trying to decide what the best course of slices and pups would be. With carbineer I used a high-quality Nym's with a full crit slice and damage pups and that worked out fine. Any commentary from the rifleman community out there would be highly appreciated.

i'd say all into damage, to get your min up. LD-1 is good for jedi wearing PSGs, but getting an ALR made with power cells would be better for normal jedi

Get two guns: one high damage with damage pup, and another with nice SAC and SAC pup.


Open attack with damage gun and if you don't get the incap right away, switch to SAC gun


BTW, you'll only need to ADK the SAC gun

Well what would you suggest? I'm not very savy on the SAC costs of rifles. Should I keep the LD-1 and then get a HLR or an ALR?

I don't know about the LD-1, but both the ALR and the T21 have a SAC cap of 82 and a max damage cap of 1184. You can't overcome those caps with crafting or slicing, but you can with power ups


My current T21 is sliced to both the damage and SAC cap, but from what I hear a good smith can craft a gun to both caps (for a price of course) and you can use the slice for something else

its best to slice all for damage methinks, because min damage is more often than not whats going to be used for jedi (since very few jedi don't have at least aura in defender) and if you get a REALLY fast rifle you'll run out of action no matter how low the pup takes it.

For slice/powerup i would recommend getting a speed slice, then use a dmg powerup, that way your speed will not be affected by the power up, and you still will have massive dmg. If possible, get your gun capped on all 3(i've seen this) but if not all 3, sac cap, then dmg cap, then speed. smiths charge a lot of money for these, but to make it easy on yourself, talk to one to see what loot drops you need, they all drop from boss and elite BH marks, so sometimes taking out a bunch of these is well worth your time, it will greatly reduce the cost of the weapon.
