What I mean by that is being an adult, I always analyze everything that happens as I'm playing......did I get that XP....did my scatter do enough damage.......what's my buff status???? Yet when my cousin sat down for the first time last week and booted up the game.......you'd have thought that he just won the lottery.......he's 13 and been sheltered from Online games by his parents.......but as he was at my house on vacation......I thought he could use some SWG time. Anyway, my point is maybe I'd be better off playing this game at a lower perspective......and just enjoy what's there. Teaching my cousin how to play really reminded me of what the game felt like the first day I booted it up at launch. How cool seeing a CH teach their pets......all that nostalgia. He didn't care about the details.....he just enjoyed star wars......and maybe that's all that was intended when they made this game.

Balance the ROTW ships. Just say no to Space Composite!
Trials of Obi-Wan? Stop adding prequel rubbish and put the Star Wars back into Star Wars Galaxies!
It should be an Empire Divided, not an Empire Grinding on Bols or placing thousands of 'factional bases'!
Grinding should not exist in a fun MMO!
The Galactic Civil War should be the focus of this game, not an under-developed afterthought!
FARSTAR PWNS ECLIPSE!
In Russia, JTL play you!
This is a local server for local people, there's nothing for you here!

Same with me. However, I find that it is just a part of being an adult. My kids love to eat candy. I sit and remember when I used to enjoy eating candy all day. (I dont let my kids eat candy all day but you get the idea.) Now, if I think about eating candy it is followed by thoughts of cavities...then of going to the dentist...then followed by a dentist bill. The point is as an adult you have that perspective and forethought. As a kid, their forethought is as long as their nose. Nothing is the same as when you were a kid and unfortunately you can't have those days back.

True but do you think a lot of the frustrations we feel about the bugs and such would be mitigated if we took a step back and realized that nothing like this game has ever been done before in the SW universe......and maybe we should just enjoy what we have.

i do the same thing now. when i first started playing i was all about being in the star wars universe and killing stormies and stuff and charging in after marks and what not. After 9 months of playing i find i analyze every aspect of playing... "How many more marks can i get before my buffs run out, whats the status of my food supply, Should i keep this loot or sell it, should i spend the extra creds for 500 more protection in my armor".

Its an adult thing. I'm 29 and i do this stuff in real life too. my last girlfriend was 19 (i know i robbed the cradle but she was legal andshe told me she was 23). one night we were drinking at a friends house and i was going slow cuz i had to drive home and i knew the consequences of getting smashed too fast. she on the other hand was gone in about an hour and paid for it the next day lol. when i was 19 i was like that but now being older and smarter i know better but i find it makes things boring sometimes and i find myself thinking back on how i was.

And yes i will be 30

Lately I've stopped focusing on the grind ahead.......as I'm in the village.....and just enjoyed playing. I'll get there eventually......and with a kid on the way.....due in december.......it will probably be way later but oh well I still have enjoyed playing my one character. I do miss the roleplaying that used to go on though. My friends and I used to sit in the cantinas and tell stories about our characters youth and such......it was really fun. I swear one of the worst things that happened is the destruction of entertainers and the removal of BF. It gave people a reason to commune and interact........same with medical facilities........now nobody really gathers because there isn't a reason to. That combined with the respec......though I'm glad they did it.......most of the non-combat classes respecced.......and it has left a huge hole on my server.

Lol, that reminds me of something that happened a couple weeks ago. My wife and I were heading to my boss's cabin for a party and the road to it was hilly and winding, you know, the fun type. Back about 10-15 years ago, I'd have been taking that road at top speed just for the thrill, now I just lazily go through it watching my speed the entire time. Man, I miss those days when I didn't care about the consequences....

I do this all the time with new guildies that enter my guild that are n00bs... I take them aside and try to teach them the game froma different point of view. It constantly reminds meof the"Keep it Simple Stupid" mentality I should be taking and most of the time have always took. I mean, the other day... went and did some of the races again around the galaxy for sh1ts's and giggles

shut up, no one cares what you think, they're not "glow tards" they're nothing of the such, they're another prof, and wether you like it or not, the novelty of any game wears off with or without an alpha class.
