Thread: Advice From the Cloak.(Exp Bh's plz)

I came back to game after a year break and respeced my toon to MBH/Mrifle and most of troubles fighting jedi..rerolled the Respec to MBH/MCM and 1st attempt on a Mdef was a success. Question here lies ..is here lately i have found my self up against the lesser exp Jedi..in wich after i have Paralyzed dot dot dot..they run off heal and cloak...and while added to Force run..my Burst only goes so far...i do how ever am able to follow these jedis ..do to the dots flaring off their heads..i guess if any one out here has dealt with cloakers enough for some extra pointers on how to prevent them from getting away completely..would be most appreciated

The only way to prevent them from cloaking is remaining within 20 meters of them at all time because they must be 20 meters away from other players before they can initiate cloak. I've tried chasing after them with my vehicle and all available droids/pets out to drain their force but this simply isn't possible - you have to prevent them from going into cloak or it's a lost battle.

Team up.... yes i know you can't usually both attack.. but have your friend sit on his speeder, and stay within range of the mark at all times...
prevents him from cloaking... and you can then follow at your own speed....

get a non-CH cat which is fast and follow other..the inexperienced jedi won't notice the cat and the cloak won't work...also maybe you could use a flying droid...but cat is faster

Cloak is really a get out of fight free ability for a jedi and how the devs currently have the skill set up there is nothing to do to counter it. I could be a sucky paddy with no skill whatsoever but if I have cloak I will never die. Then the elite jedi who have this ability, you may as well forget it. Sony clearly needs to do something with this ability. Hmm a BH with cloak...now that would interesting. If you truly want to engage a cloaker it will take a lot of chasing and patience.

use your snares, roots, kds to keep him in range at all times... not much else you can do.

if he roots you paralyze him IMMEDIATELY. alternative is to have a med droid (oo added bonus better heals) set to follow him...if its an MSE it'll probably take him a minute to figure out why hes not cloaking. kd's and roots are your friend...but with MCM paralyze should be enough
