So, while taking on a jedi mark, he rooted me...

...now, I know there is probably some incredibly solution to get "un-rooted" right under my nose, but I can't think of it.

Is there a way to counter root?

There is no way to counter root , but if you have root , keep your distance and when the jedi roots you , root him/her .

Yup, you will get un-rooted automatically after the root timer expired. The only counter to root is having a high defense to make the initial root attack miss.

Isn't the dev team thinking of a special skill for jedi called "avoid root"?

Yeah, the thing is he was only a knight, I don't think knights can be master anything.

Maybe it was just one of those things where the skill decides not to work for some reason. Cause I couldn't do ANYTHING. And he wasn't using parylize either, it didn't show any status chages underneath my H/A/M bar.

Oh well, thanks again.

A knight is a full template jedi that has done the knight trials, meaning he's been full template knightsince before the CU.

That means he could possibly be dual mastery template.

Or did you mean initiate?

Uhm - short rundown on Jedi progression:

Jedi Initiate -> Padawan Trials -> Jedi grind

In the Jedi grind, a Padawan puts up to 226 skill points into Jedi professions. One Jedi Mastery costs 89 skill points (and 15,220,000 Jedi xp).

After having spend 220 skill points in Jedi skills (I think, not sure about that number) a Padawan could start the Knight trials back when the Force Ranking System was active. Currently that system is disabled.

So your "Jedi Knight" was a full templated Jedi.

The progression in the FRS would be through 10 ranks, the 10th rank granting the title "Jedi Master".

If you find yourself rooted, and don't have a root yourself, pull out a rifle if he moves more than 35m away.

You could also knock them down and or snare them if you can't root them to slow them down as they try to run away from you while you're rooted.

Dabbler. To be full template jedi, means you use all 226 skill points (minus the 24 FS skill points, equalling 250 skill points). Now, to enter the FRS, you did not need all 226 points used, that's where you had the dabblers entering the FRS.

Could be, as I said I am not sure about that number. But full templates usually either use 226, 225 or 221 SP in Jedi skills, and I know all those could start the Knight trials.

Ah, balls.

This sucks.

My mark used root on me a good 5 or 6 times within 5 minutes.

Anyone thing the recharge rate for root should be longer?

I mean, sure, everyone would take a blow, but I find it incredibly unfair to be able to root someone and not allow them to heal, attack, or use any kind of special. (at least this is what was happening to me)

Thanks for your help.
