Hey Ewok Dude,

Nice post. It has a very familiar ring to it, as I'm much in the same boat - have just started doing Jedi missions after only having done NPC BH missions. I'm a bit of a noob at pvp. So far, I'm 1 for 3. Managed to deathblow one of my marks, and got unceremoniously dispatched, in much the same manner as you describe, by the other two.

My template and weapons are pretty good I think: MBH/Master Carbines/CM4XXX, E11, Proton Carbines that hit for 1000+. I think I need work (and it sounds like you do also) in figuring out how the Jedis attack and how to counterattack them. One jedi rooted me and beat me down with his 2h saber, and the other defeated me after I got stuck in close quarters (waylaid him in a cantina), and got stuck on a wall trying to get out the door, for some range.

Lessons learned:

a) try to stay at range from the Jedis and kite them, as they're melee templates and you'll never survive going toe to toe with them.

b) if rooted, try knockdown recovery to get out of it, and get some range on the mark.

c) Alternate snare/root with knockdown and whatever high powered shot you have.

d) of course, don't go into battle without buffs and food.

That's what I've taken away from doing three Jedi missions, anyways. If anybody else, more experienced, has any more jedi hunting suggestions to make, I'd be glad for their contributions!

Another thing I noticed, is that most Jedis appear to employ macros - one guy went from a completely unbuffed state, to fully buffed and fed within a matter of seconds. He obviously had some sort of 'panic' button set up. As I'm an old fart, and am somewhat oldschool, I'm averse to employing macros. So don't know much about them. Are there similar macros that BH could/should employ? I realize it depends on your template, but I'm curious nonetheless.

Regards

Ok, relatively new MBH here. Finally got my sliced/ADK's HLR, put a Sac PUP on it. Bought some foods. I don't know what combos work the best. I've been doing NPC missions but figured the best way to go about this is to take a Jedi mission. Trial by fire.

Go to Naboo, Kaadara to grab a mission. Use the droids and all of that and the target is actually at Meonia! I go there and slowly search him out. I kind of walk around to get a feel for what he was up to. No one was around but him so after watching for a minute I decide its time. I knock him down and let lose some Adv Crit Shots. My first wave of attacks actually had him at a quarter health! I was feeling like if I kept my distance maybe I'd have a shot here. Well that was as far as I got.

I get KnockedDown, get up and fall back while spraying KD and Adv Crit...missed on all KDs. Knee Cap'd him once but that didn't slow down this Rebel Jedi in the least bit. I am IMP so I only hunt Rebels. I managed to get a few heals and a Stim D before I was incap'd and DB'd.

I was hitting anywhere from 80 -200. Which I am not sure is good or not. I was hoping this rifle would do a lot better. His lowest hit was 180, highest 790.

Anyway, after using all morning to get ready the fight lastest 2 minutes. LOL...all I can say is...

I am healing up now and grabbing another mission. That was a blast and I will have my revenge!
