Thread: Rifle Carbine or Pistol?

What does everyone think is the best profession to take with bounty hunter? Ill tally it up, just want to get an idea of where I should be going.

You know, it really helps in these types of posts if you include what it is you're trying to do. NPC's? Jedi's?
For damage it's Rifle, Pistol for defense, and Carbine... I dont know. Rifle seems the best imo, but stopping shot from pistoleers can be a life-saver.

CM>all. Rifles is most popular but im thinking of taking up pistols just because some of the stuff sounds fun (long root, intimidate shot, etc)

Well jedi, I dont know why any bh wouldnt hunt jedi. Im just looking for the best template to hunt them, ive got a mrifle, mbh and am thinking mcm and mpistol mbh, because pistol has good kiting abilities. But i cant do this anyway unless they change the xp system

its much more profitable to do NPC missions now and sell the loot...andjedi aren't exactly happy with the new exp so im expecting quite a few more runners.

I posted this question up on my own a few days ago. Why do we still hunt the Jedi. The majority of responses were that BH's just like to kill Jedi, and the suffering of others "gets [them] off" lol
But I was reminded that in addition to the 51k fee, we still get the bonus of 150k-225k depending on the Jedi. I would agree that's still FAR more profitable to hunt npcs now though. But with the introduction of the npc missions now, the Jedi have become less vigilant on average, and it's easier to kill them now, since they aren't all "permanoid" now.
But to answer the original post.... I like Rifle for killing power against npcs, and Jedi, and it's GREAT for kiting the BS out them.
