Thread: Posting a Player Bounty Question
Place it on your server's forum. Most players offer a reward and ask for a SS of the deed as proof of its compleation. It can be offered to BH only or to any player.
As far as rules, I have no idea. But, I have seen them many a time.
Good luck.

Question regarding placing a player sponsored in-game bounty on a mark...
Before I post a bounty I would like to ask you guys about the rules and regs regarding this. Is it allowed at all or is it a no-no? If so do I place it inthis forum or on the specific forum for the server in question? My in-game BH contacts are kind of limited so I thought here might be abetter place to put it. I know the person is on the terminals atm and would like to offer some more encouragement in the way of credits for this mark. Please advise.
Good question! I really don't see a problem with offering credits for a one time kill. You are using the game's designed features and "sweetening" the pot, so to speak. Players are already offered money from the system to hunt down and terminate another player. I don't see any EULA issues with having another player offer the same.
I would tend to think that this would be pricey considering that there are no names on the terminals anymore. If it's a BH hit, it could take quite awhile and cost extra credits in terms of droids and the few minutes to a few hours that it will take to have a BH find the correct mission. It will be a matter of pulling a mission, tracking the planet, getting within 1000m of the target, pulling a seeker to get the name, and then doing it over and over until you pull the correct mission.
Expect to spend millions on something like a BH hit.
In a PvP situation... it's open to better pricing since the hunter would be waiting for the mark to go overt and then ambush him.
I would also recommend, if you haven't done so already that you demand a "proof of death" screenshot be emailed to your personal email with the hunter standing over the mark. Back when I was taking contract assasinations, I ALWAYS took a "proof of death" screenshot and would email it from my personal to the buyer's personal email. It also adds to the fun of the whole thing, and they get a momento to keep! ![]()

Thanks for the info. I know it will be pricey but I intend to make it worth the effort of the hunters. My plan is to offer one million credits per verified kill. Pricey I know, but oh so worth it. Only stipulation I'm going to puton it is that a message be delivered to the mark upon db. I just want to make sure that it won't be breaking any forum rules if I post it here since my list of in-game hunter contacts is very slim.
1 Mil is a bit slim on this. I used to charge between 2 and 5mil depending on the difficulty of the Jedi. Back then it was easy since you KNEW they whether they were a full template or not. I would expect that will need to sweeten the pot a bit more than that.
If you need them to give a message, then they must take a screen shot with the corpse on screen, and the message baloon above your head. Or at the very least the message needs to appear either via /tell or spatial in the chat logs at the bottom.
I'm saying that I'm not sure that you will find a Bounty Hunter that will take this assigment for 1 million credits. I would not. It's not worth the aggravation of having to find that mission.
When I take a player bounty, I give a 3 day window on it, barring the Jedi not logging in... I say "Today is 9/30, by 10/3, you will receive an email from [email protected] with proof of death. I expect payment of 25% now, balance upon completion. Failure to pay will result in the destruction of all factional bases in your guild city, and the neighborhing city. I will inform the residents that the destruction of their defenses was caused by you"
Never been stiffed, either!
