Thread: Droids Medical Rating 110 And What Else?

I need to get out and buy a medical droid with a +110 medical rating. What else should I get in the droid? Do I need certain modules to keep the droid from running from me at the first sign of combat? How useful are the Stim Pack droids?

Basically you just want to make sure they have sufficient self repair, medical boost, and can shoot purty lasers. Not sure about the stim pack things. Someone had a macro up to use the droid's stimpacks to heal you while in combat...saving you stim uses and mind. I haven't bothered with this yet so don't know exactly how it works.

I've been told to try to find a droid with atleast 5k health. MDEs are rare...I've yet to find one with over 3.5k health. Hell...I'm happy I was able to find a droid at all.

I absoluty love droids and they have become my passion in this game so bare with the long reply.

Ok first off what you can put in depends on droid ( I will list what I feel is best, and have used them for long time and am FS 12 pt DE with alt)

DZ-702 combatmodules (1 defense) (will attack kinetic.. and outdamage all the other droids)

medical rating 110

Full combat

Lvl 6 armor

Probot5 combat modules (2 defense) (will attack energy.. and does about 25 dmg each shot less then DZ but can have self-repair for tanking ability... so the question is take more damage or give more)

medical rating110

full combat

3 auto repair modules (should have rating above 85 if DE actually uses good resources)

2 lvl 6 armor(yes armor is bugged, but might as well ask for best just incase it ever gets fixed)

R-3 6 combat modules (2 defense) (will attack kineticdoes about the same as DZ more then probot)

medical rating 110

full combat

4 autorepair

2 lvl 6 armor

or

medical rating 110

full combat

4stimpack modules

2 lvl 6 armor

Stimpacks work like this the higher the rating the faster you can take them (and no they donot effect your own stimpack timer)

However you (by you I mean a doctor) can only load A stims which heal a little of 200 each (also the doctor must load one at at time which is a pain)

You also must target you droid to request one and be within 10 meters to get it. this is a pain becuase you must be close to droid and then deal with the target droid target enemy game.

Personally, I know that stimpacks can be very usefull..... however it requires the right macro and alot of time leaning how to make them effective.

However most players donot want to take the time to figure this out... and instead want the quick easy advice.

So if you donot want to spend a few days figuring out your droids times and testing different macro's then the stimdroid is not for you. ( and if your laggy this realy screws up the macro)

However if you are patient... and understand macro's and have good connetction then the R-3 above can be a very good choice (especially if you only have medic.... ie not cm 4xxx)

Now quick notes

110 rating only improves your heals like bacta toss shot and spray.... it will not make your stims heal for more... so if you donot have medic.... this is worthless to you

Droid armor is bugged all amor will drop to 1217 when droid is called the 2nd time, even if it starts at 7000-9000 ( i still use lvl 6 and the best resources just incase a fix)

You must tell you droid what to do in spatial menu or use

/tellpet attack etc.

The cap for health is 3742 regardless of the resouces and modules

I have made amor at 9000 but it all gets set back to 1217 once called from data pad

the cap for combat is

81 to hit

81 to defense

61-284 damage

Well I willstop there.... again just trying to help so if long winded sorry ... if any specific question feel free to ask

Thanks, Anarchicgorilla.

Tonight I bought a probot with 110 medical bonus, 25 auto-heal capacity and combat modules so it didn't run away. It did what I wanted it to, but I will continue to explore my options.

Check out the corbantis DE list Pug. I got mine for about 100k and am very happy with it. combat/med110/self repairing R3. Think it was in Noresta on Dant. Shikkosk or something like that.

I hear they may be changing the pet call to instant like the bikes. This will help out as well could macro the store bike, call droid stuff to really help out.

Thanks, MrGouda. Good to hear from you. Do you remember the self-repair value?
