Um what is the best kentic rifle (needed for jedi killing) im guessing its the ld-1 but is there somethin else?

why would you need kinetic when energy seems to work just fine?

yes but hes talking about jedi and I have yet to incounter a jedi that is willing to take the time to switch from robes and saber to armor PSG and other weapon in my BH carrer and if you look at the tusken it should say kinetic last I looked after the CU

Jedi can always be wearing a PSG now so going for kinetic vs them (if you can get a good kinetic weap) is better then going with energy.

The fallan and the LD-1 are supposed to be pretty much identical except that loot items now seem to have randomized stats. Not all are exactly alike so they may or may not be the better kinetic rifles (Fallan looks better than the AWP...err I meanLD-1).

As for crafted, the Tusken rifle is probably the best kinetic rifle out there. It uses projectile feed mechanisms which can't be krayt enhanced. However, Gorax bones and some of the other projectile mechanism enhancers (+20damage, -0.2 speed, +unit integrity) can be used to enhance them.

Currently packing a 2.51 speed, 846 damage Tusken rifle myself. That is a post CU conversion and I imagine they can probably be crafted to match a T21 or advanced laser in dps if the weaponsmith really puts some effort into it (no effort before since they sucked pre-CU). There are some npc's that seem to take more damage from kinetic than energy although without the ability to see their resists (wish they'd fix that) itmakes it incredibly hard to find out which.

If the jedi is wearing a PSG, then yes, Kinetic is better. If not, Energy is better.

Ifthe Jedi is using a PSG the Kinetic weapon will probably do more damage vs the energy weapon, depending on the damage range of the weapons.

Probably not. A trando rifle would be better. The Kinetic rifles suck. An even with a PSG, a good HLR or ALR will still do more damage.
