My template: Master Carbineer. Master BH. Marksman xx44. Medic x41x. Combat Medic 4xxx.

I've ehard people say it IS possible to take on full temps. Well...full temps whipe the damned floor with me.
I use a sliced Proton Carbine (Illegal Core Booster, lowest Speed, lowest Critical)
Battle Armor (6k all around). one Ranged cyber arm. (+5 accuracy and range) Food: Booster Blue, Piketta Pie, Spiced Tea, Deuterium-Pyro, Rubilien (sp, for cycling stims).
I lead in with KD, then snare. I do my best to kite, and try to blind them and such. I usually stick to leg and critical shots for max damage, but no matter how well I do, they heal, root me, and it becomes just a matter of them dealing damage faster than I can heal it away. Once they give me that first root, I can't seem to get away from them again with being Kded or rooted. Any advice is helpful

Slice your armor for 75% armorbreak reduction. THats like, the ONE thing that seperates being able to kill full temps or not.

Drop the ranged arm.. .. if he hits you in the arm at full temp with lets say a 700max saber he could do like.. ..700 x 3 multiplier for power hit while u are KD and if it landed on your arm good lawd man.. ..drop that thing asap.

Armor slice as the poster above said.. ..

Get 8k energy armor.. .. or at least 7k.. ..

Get the melee defense food starts with a "V" I forget the name. gives you +100 melee defense.. ..

Strategy:

I do not lead with KD at all period. ... "IF" I expect to kill them in 5 hits, which is not full temp, I would

adv. crit + KD + head / leg shot + torso + adv crit

That only works on lower levels.. .. so I would lead with high damage followed by KD and then follow with the strongest attack you have while they KD. If you expect a serious fight you might wanna slap your blind on while they are KD since it will have a greater chance of sticking and hopefully save you from a hit or 2. If they root you should expect a KD to follow very quickly so have ur recovery hotbar'd very close to you.. ..and eat your melee food + Duelist Stance (+250 defense) so that gives you +350 defense right there. Snare when you can to slow him down and to maybe give you some space but it doesnt always work the way you would like.

Move away as soon as root breaks and go from there. I would get a few friends to duel you and just practice on your opening combo and your KD combos to see what will work best for you. Once you feel confident that you know your moves and what your gonna do you will find your performance will be greatly improved.

Thanks for the help guys. Its tough to find energy layered battle armor though, and it runs for rediculous amounts (730k...so its not that much, but for a relatively unsuccesul bounty hunter, all my cash comes from looted space components). What about my Carbine? Should I get a different one? (Maybe I'll ask on the Carbineer forums). And I've heard a lot of people say ONLY a MCM can solo a full temp. Is this true?
Last question. Can armor be UNSLICED, to get the components back? I don't want to put all those nice components into this armor if I'm just going to buy a nice new set with that 8k resistance. (Can battle armors even get energy resistance that high?)
Sorry for the relatively sparatic questions...thanks for your patience.

MCM's are not the only combo that can drop a full temp it has its advantages but its not the only option. Once you learn your tactics you can do it but full temp can if they know what they are doing turn things around quick.

You do not get sliced parts back so they will be gone once you use them.730k is high yes but I pay 1m and sometimes 2 so it could be worse.And no battle cant hit 8k to my knowledge..7 yes but not 8.

For your gun just get something with a solid range of damage like 600min 1050max. You can go higher on the max damage but that will get more expensive as you go.So staying around a 1000 damage and keeping the min up too will keep your overall damage up.Your gun is really your bread and butter so this is where you should really take teh time to know what your getting and how well it will do.Energy versus kinetic is important to keep in mind too when you evaluate your wep.

I'm not sure if battle armor can get that high... But I know Recon armor can. See if you can find a set of Ubese armor... I also like recon better because it doesn't slow your movement...

I'm not sure about your weapon but from what I hear proton carbines are pretty good... What damage and special action cost does it have?

Proton: 855 max, plus 90 cold damage. 85 min SAC
I'm not qualified whatsoever for recon armor though, so I need to stick with my battle.

Min damage is what you want to concern yourself with

I think RIS armor can get high stats, but I don't have any yet so I'm not sure. Factional armor maybe? Dont have any of that either...

I sometimes do not fight like I advise but that has come with getting more experience, what I recommend here is what you should do for the first 10 kills or so, then you can start to develop your own style and tactics....

1. only attack if you have achieved complete and utter surprise.(meaning you can frontload a alot of damage). This will guarantee the jedi to be in a defensive position after the the first strike. You have forced him to think of only two things at this point, running or healing first AND then coming after you.

2. Only engage if the Jedi, in addition to being completely surprised, is not buffed or his force is down, or he is engaed by MOBS or creatures. Even if you achieve utter surprise like #1 above but the jedi is not in a tough spot (in other words he is buffed and not distracted or engaged by other PvE activities) you can still lose dramatically even if you cause massive damage before reaction, so DON'T engage and follow this rule.

If you follow these two rules and drop the mission whenever you can not engage with these parameters, you will achieve success . There is nothing wrong in doing this. This is the BH way and Jedi's are 1.5 stronger for this reason.

3. Learn about foods and how they best compliment your personal template, seek out high energy resit armor, slice it for Armor break if possible. Find a good weapon with high damage that you can slice for speed. Add a power up to the weapon to let it produce even more damage (so cap damage with weaponsmith and Power up, slice speed).

4. Add a duelist macro this will help alot as well, here is one I found on this forum:

/duelists;
/pause 26;
/alarmaddin 0 0 STOP, DUELIST!!
/pause 1;
/macro Duelist

Be sure to use the following for deathblow so that the macro does not interfere:

/dump
/deathblow

Patience and practice will help you prevail.

Every template can be a contender if played correctly. Some hunters have no medic skills whatsoever, and can still get the job done.

Like the above poster stated, they are made to be stronger than you. They can dish out damage better, heal better, move faster, and disappear when they want (some of them anyway). The one and only advantage we have is we decide when and where the fight will take place. Use it.

Well, I must point out a few corrections.

#1 Jedi cannot dish out more damage, unless you are a pre-cu Jedi with an excellent LS
#2 Jedi cannot out heal, I haven't been able to heal as fast as some of the MBH/CMs that have tried taking me down
#3 1.5x stronger is open to debate, it mostly comes down to skill

Was wondering how would we know if their force is down?
