Ok I am a bounty hunter and I'm well aware of how to aquire and use droids that can be purchased from the droid terminals. Because the seeker droids fail a lot it can get quite spendy having to use 10+ per mission to find my mark. I've heard about the DZ-70 Fugitive Tracker droid and I was considering buying one. My question is are they even worth buying or completely useless? I was hoping that maybe they would be worth getting and save me from having to use so many seeker droids. If anyone can answer this I'd really appreciate it.

To the best of my knowledge, they're completely useless

Not needed on Novice BH

Needed on Investigation 1 and upwards, since your bounty marks will not be stationary, like they are when you're Novice.

the droid engineer ones don't do anything to track targets though.

I can make Seeker and Arykid Probe Droids for bounty hunters but I have no clue how much to charge I hear they are available in game for 250 and 1000 creds... anyway ... if anyone can tell me if they are 1 shot items and what they are used for I will stock up on them at a lower price than the standard ones.

They are both 1 use items, the probe droid costs 200 and the arikin (sp?) costs 1000....

I would do this, if Bounty Hunters actually were willing to go that route. Most of them aren't, they see the idea of gathering resources and maintaining their factory as being even more payment.

I for one refuse to go under the base limit of what it takes to make those droids....I can understand the frustration, when a mission to grind experience suddenly costs money instead of makes it. But I'm not going to start costing myself my own credits to make those things for a cost which is suitable to Bounty Hunters. They were pampered with that NPC vendor, and I wouldn't be against lower the Schematic requirements or raising Mark mission payouts. But I won't put up with whining....whining to a crafter about losing money just to gain experience, that just doesn't work. We wrote the book on losing money to gain experience. We ran destroy missions to maintain harvesters because we couldn't make enough money selling our worthless droids at low levels.

Dont make the droids yourselves. Get the BOunty hunters to collect thier own resources and Buy a factory. Charge a flat fee to make the schematics they need and they can crank out as many as they need and have the resources for!

This way we can keep the BHs relatively happy and keep our headaches down. Do try to remember that the DEs all voted andthe removal of the BH droid vendors made the list twice. This is the result. Now you have to make them for them, and they cant affod to pay what they are worth. This is a nice middle ground.

BH droids suck anyway, would be nice if they actually worked more than 5% of the time and not single use

I know its been beaten to death and argued about alot recently but I would like to give my 2 cents worth on the while Bounty Hunter droid situation.

I don;t mind selling seekers for 200cr and arakyd probe droids for 1000cr. That price is fairforthe BH based on mission payout. But if they leave these droids single use I would like to see what it takes to make one of them reduced severely.

Currently the Seeker Droid takes

30 units of Ferrous Metal
70 units of Chemical
1 Electronics Memory Module
2Electronics GP Modules

That equates to

70 Chemical
30 Ferrous Metal
28 Metal
19 Polymer
9 Copper
8 Inert Gas
8 Low Grade Ore

Or 172 materials total.

I don't know about you but EMM and GP units are much more valuable in an advanced droid brain where I can make many times the credits. So I propose that they be removed from the schematic for seekers. The resulting schematic would have these stats.

Proposed

30Chemical
25Ferrous Metal
15Metal
5Inert Gas
8Low Grade Ore

Or83 materials total.

This would bring it more in line with the economy. And possibly allow some DE's to sell them at a price less than 200cr each. I for one would run factory crates of these for BH's.

Now for theArakyd Probe Droid Breakdown.

30 units of Copper
20 units of Inert Gas
25 units of Siliclastic Ore
3Electronics GP Module
1 Electronics Memory Module

That equates to

42 Copper
38 Metal
31 Inert Gas
26 Polymer
25 Siliclastic Ore
11 Low Grade Ore

Or 173 materials total.

If we reduce this a bit so that only a single EMM and single GP are used in the construction andslightly changed the basematerials to compensate it wouldn't be as bad of a drain making factory crates of these.

Proposed

Base
40 units of Copper
35Metal
20Chemical
10 units of Inert Gas
22 units ofExtrusive Ore

EMM & GP
18 Metal
12Polymer
6Copper
5Low Grade Ore
5Inert Gas

For a total of 173 materials.

This would allow DE's to price it between 500 and 1000 credits, the amount of materials would be the same and we couldmake factory runs for BH's.

This would also make them viable grinding items for XP and instead of dumping the 200 mouse droids into the bin labeled "practice" that the imperials send by for stocking the new death star.

Please consider this as an option rather than increasing bountyhunter payout or making droids multi use. Although multi use is always an option... i could see seekers at 4-10 use based on experimentation and ayk's at 1-5 ...

Anyway that my2cr worth ...

Or just make them how they are....atleast on my server, I cant keep them stocked at 800 per seeker(3500 for crate of 5), 1300 per arkayd(6000 per crate)
