My take on where this puts the game isthat now SOE is sort of saying they don't care about the GCW anymore...

I've played since day 1, actually even got 4 hours before the infamous "crash." I've seen this game have its ups and downs and until the past few months never openly discussed a negative side to it. I wrote the 10,000 Jedi off and said, "Oh well, so what if it doesn't resemble the original or "classic"trilogy. We still have the Galactic Civil War."

Now the GCW is basically broken. Rebels control everything (I am a Rebel). It is totally unrealistic in the film's perspective when a special force rebel can stroll through Theed branishing a lightsaber and a rebel colonel title and get no flak. Well I guess SOE could say, "What does George Lucas know about Star Wars?" I wonder if the developers of current SWG have even seen the original films; you know, the films that created a franchise. Those same films in which the Galactic Civil War was the entire premise.

Remember that the only reason the new films were created was the incredible fan base of the original trilogy. Remember in Episode 4, 5 and 6 when the 10,000 Jedi were able to storm the Endor station using force cloak and Luke used force run 3 to get beyond the stormtroopers? I didn't think you did either

Recently I have really found this gamenot resembling the Star Wars Universe I am a fan of. The ONLY reason I play this game is because I am a Star Wars fan. There are many people in this neiche as well. Most of us, in this group, have never played another MMO and probably won't after we leave SWG. SOE is dangerously close toalienating this group of SW fans completly.

I am a Star Wars fan long before I am a SWG fan, and MMO fan or an SOE fan. <-That quote should be on EVERY SOE employee's desk who works on SWG.

*Here is food for thought. Anything carrying the Star Wars name sells like mad. Books hit #1 in a day on the NY Times best seller list, music CD's, videos, etc. Star Wars is such a marketable franchise that in 1996 Lucas got us all to go see re-released versions of 20 year old films! Oh sorry, he changed 2 or 3 scenes. Think about that. Really give it some thought. Yet SOE can't turn the SWG MMO into even a top 20 MMO...interesting. No nothing is wrong with the Jedi issue in game. Keep telling yourselves that SOE. Before long, 250,000 subscribers will be your goal, not your current rate!*

-Hey SOE, here's a novel idea. Instead of trying to get new customers to replace the lost ones. Try fixing the bugs so you get new customers and KEEP the old ones too! Next time you delete a post that puts SOE in a bad light, think about giving us reasons to put you in a good light instead. ...you see when someone buys the game it means they want to like it. When they cancel an account it means you made someone who liked the game dislike it. How's that good business again?
Where does a 90% drop is customer base equal good business? SOE

Don't blame the Jedi for all the planets being rebel controlled.

Jedi can only protect a base busting crew, not blow a base themselves.

Also, in any game where they put the fate of control in the hands of the players will see one side victorious. The only option in this case it to completely remove the GCW and just make it so the Empire is in control, regardless fo what the players do.

The movies are scripted. One guy decided the outcomes, we are not playing in that reality, ever since day one this has been a seperate Star Wars universe occupying it's own niche of the EU. You must have known this would be the case when you first signed up, right?

Yes you're right. Everyone knows your right....yet greed gets in the way. The greed of the companies making this game and the greed of the players wanting to be stronger than others at the expense of everyone else.
