I have been actively hunting Jedi for about a week and a half now with an even record but I am certainly learning as I go along, adapting and improving strategies but last night I had by far the most fun I have had on a bounty in my short career. It started when I tracked my target just outside a city on Tatooine and found that he was in a guild grinding group. So I waited about 450m away for the mission to be near over so that I knew the marks force would be lower and swoop in for the kill. We have a good battle going for about 10 mins then he decides to root and run. Eventually broke the TEF in his home city and made it to his safe house. I then stood outside his house and explained his options:
1. Ready up for the fight and exit the house. Once I recieve a duel request from him I would drop the mission and have an honorable fight. (Honestly, this is the only reason I hunt...I want the one on one fight)
2. Continue to sit in his house. I then reminded the mark that I would have his mission for 3 days and promised to come back often over the next 3 days to complete my mission.
So he chose the second option and I went on my way vowing to return. Later in the evening I get a tell from my mark asking if I still wanted the honorable fight. I of course want my fight as opposed to 3 days of hunting only to have him run and loaded back to his city. I got my duel request, dropped the mission and we had it out. This fight went on for what was likely 30 minutes. To his credit he did everything right but just didn't have the template to defeat me and my template/style is built around wearing a jedi down. At the end of our encounter he sent me a tell saying he was done, his force was gone, mind was gone and he was just out of moves. Within seconds a new BH swoops in and starts attacking. Seeing that I am engaged with the Jedi the new BH backs down. I then end duel with the Jedi and allow him to escape to his safe house in the city. I know I shouldn't have but If I'm not completing the mission, this new BH isn't going to reap the rewards of my efforts.
I then challenge the new BH to a duel and tell him the winner gets to finish off the mission. Of course he didn't know I was only dueling his mark so he accepted my terms. I engaged the new BH and promptly had him on his back and DB'd. My words to him...."Next time stay away from MY bounty"
Needless to say the jedi was more than grateful to find that I had gone from trying to end his life to saving it in a matter of hours.

Ahh.. thats classic. Yeah you know, you'd be surprised at how many fights you would get, if people just came up and asked for a duel/fight. granted, if the person isn't done with their template, they are likely to run.

Wasnt your bounty when you deleted the mission....
If I was the other BH I would have engaged the mark as I was supposed to do...

In the initial engagement of the mark (a full template btw) he used a health buff crystal and meditated once inside the house but refused to fight b/c he could not out damage the heals I have as a MCM with ruby and good stim D's.
And yes, he did cease to be my mark when I dropped the mission. I dropped the mission because he agreed to give me my fight. I agreed to this because I would much rather get my fight than stalk the same jedi for 3 days only to have him run from me everytime. And the second BH did engage the mark as he should have but the Jedi had just enough force to get out of LOS of the new BH and make it safely to his house.
