Thread: jedi names and levels on missions (and a few other issues)

firstly, i have a BH and a fully templated jedi. ive been BH pre CU and i have made another BH post CU. ALSO i have had a padawan during the CU but he is no longer mine, i decided not to finish him but i did grind out some jedi.

this being said i am very aware of the jedi vs. BH system.

jedi names:

some people use the names to get 5 people to gank a 40k padawan because they don't like the person. some use it to grief only low level paddies. and a very select few use it to go after the harder 200k+ jedi for a fun challenge.

atm if names are removed you have to be to close to the jedi to have first strike and your advantage goes away. this needs to be fixed in 2 ways.

1. BH know the name of their jedi once they are 1k within range.

2. to fix the /duel command a few minor changes need to be made...lets say player A is the jedi and player B is a BH w/ a mission on player A

player A uses /duel on player B

player A system message: you challenge player B to a duel

player B system message: player A challenges you to a duel, little does he know you don't need his permission to open fire.

Player B uses /duel on player A

simply tells him that it can't be done and he already has a tef on the jedi

3. one issue with this is hunting guildies/friends, giveBH a second friends list, all jedi on this friends list will not show up on the mission terminals for this particular BH.

if BH learn how to pvp correctly and learn how to take on a full template jedi there is no reason that names should be on the mission.

"taking on a 225k mark is a waste of time"

like i said i have a BH, and this is simply not true. if the above changes are made and BH have first strike they are at a huge advantage. i think anyone can walk up and shoot a jedi when hes at 200 health dueling another jedi in cnet. or kill a jedi while theres 30 pikets or feral wookiees attacking him.

pvp skill plays a huge part in BH vs jedi obviously, most people just can't pvp. however template, armor, foods, weapons...all this stuff comes into play. as a half templated lvl 70 BH i could take out a 225k mark as long as he/she was atleast a little bit beat up after another fight. as a full template BH i can now take a jedi 1 on 1 anytime long as i start out 50 meters away no matter what they are currently doing.

i know some of you still don't think its possible to take a 225k mark, hopefully in the future i will be able to post a fraps video or 2 and prove to you that it is quite possible and hopefully you can all learn something from it.

Offer ride

obvious problem. simply make it so that a BH can attack ANY vehicle that a tefed jedi is in. making it only tefed jedi will insure that a BH can't just blow up anyones bike by having a jedi friend get into their vehicle. so if you offer a ride to a jedi that is fighting you risk your bike getting blown up.

now the other issue w/ offer ride. jedi's friends spamming offer ride to the BH thus lagging system and taking up the entire screen. simply add an option under the ctr+o to auto reject invites and thus not even having a screen or message come up. working somewhat like /ignore but only to ride invites.

tefes and running into houses

pub 20 adresses all of these issues of jedi running in and out of houses.

Kash and jedi missions:

should work the same as any other planet. kash should not be a BH free zone, with pub 20 youl never find you mark if he/she is on kash and this is simply not going to work.

the "dead zone" by the bridge is bugged and nothing is attackable in this zone. this needs to be fixed because it is being exploited by BH and jedi alike. using a bug for an advantage in PvP is one of the worst and most game breaking types of exploits. please do not exploit this and report anyone using it.

hopefully ill have some Fraps videos to share w/ you all and hopefully i can share my pvp experience to help BH to get through these changes and learn how to efficiently defeat a 225k mark.

5 stars for you!

Though i haven't looked tons through the pub 20 notes, what i've seen looks well thought out. Jedi duel exploit is a pain for me because not so much do i get jedi finding out that i'm after them but i get tons of /duel offers. been thinking i'll wander down to the feral wook spawn and just get /duel all typed in and ready, and whichever jedi /duels me first i'll duel them and go for the kill. For those of us who aren't hunting jedi, even those of us who aren't BH, it gets annoying. Fast.

I'd like to see how you say you kill the fully templated 225k's with consistancy. I have no doubt it can be done, but i'd like to see the strategies used and circumstancessince most of the time the templated jedi i fight are guildies in friendly duels. I can kill them sometimes, but i'll take all the pointers i can

Props to you for acknowledging the kash and offerride problems.
