well... first of all... the faction on the terminals... wonderful.

getting that out of the way, I figured I would hunt for awhile today, try out the new system.
First stack of droids
1. Kash
2. AFK house sitting
3. standing still talking to a buddy in his player city cloaked
4. offline
5. jedi knight... rooted him and took off on my speeder
6. offline
7. kash
8. dath, full template(226k before patch), 5k meters north of outpost
9. offline
list continued pretty much the same(went through 2 stacks of droids)

couple of things... while still rediculusly stupid, kash is much less of a problem, same thing yesterday would have resulted in 95% kash grinders for me

I am not going to suffer armor decay and waste food getting creamed by a full template... thats just stupid, especially if you dont catch them in battle

what in the hell is with the offline jedi? something isnt working right, there is no way
that many jedi log withing 30 seconds of me pulling their mission... something is broken... i think i had about 10 offline jedi in those 2 stacks of droids

Faction on terms is very nice. Kashyyyk jedi wouldnt be so bad if we had a name but since we cant get a name on kashyyyk its no good so i think it is MORE of a problem now than it was before.

The only mission i found online was a 226k MLS/MDef. i didnt know it at the time i attacked. I was VERY surprised to find out how well i did against him (i won(non CM template here)). This surprised me and opened my eyes to the possibilities. Pre-20 i would have passed on his 226k mission. But i happened to have one of the best hunts ive had in this game.

now i'm not saying there arent problems with 20: offline jedi, seekers not giving names, offline jedi, and seekers not giving names. those are all major problems which i assume will be fixed in reasonable time.

If i could have one request though... it would be to get the NAME of the jedi if he/she is on kashyyyk. all i want is the name. i dont care about waypoints or tracking... just the name. that will never happen but i can always dream

Well, I spent 3 hours and finally found a jedi that I could find. I wasn't about to spend hours on Kash searching for some. So, first one I dropped on Kash, second not online, third not online, fourth AFK house sitting, fifith not online, sixth on Dant.

So with that I headed to Dant and used stealth. Found him grinding with a group on some pikets. Stayed within 200 m went prone and covered. Found his speeder parked about 150m away since they looked like they just moved to the nearest mob.Disabled hisflashspeeder. Jedi still unaware. Crawled within striking range. Put on my armor, added food buffs & drinks, loaded my Krayt heavy lightning and waited. Mind you I have spent numerous days accumulating the money to SEAs to my armor to give me added melee protection, knock-down protection, increased rifle speed and accuracy to name a few. Close to 20 mil just for the SEAs. Armor is Ubese, 7200 energy, sliced for 75% protection against armor break.

Start attack with a sniper shot, hit for 1934 in damage, jump up as jedi turns hit him with a underhand shot...down he goes. Hit with a critical for 1700 damage. Jedi gets up and tries to run to speeder. I burst run and keep the 65m range. Ooops....speeder no work! LOL Jedi is trying to load buffs and heal. Hit him with another critical followed by a head shot...down he goes with incap. Run up and deathblow. I've come to determine that this MLS/MD was a noob and didn't know how to PvP. Actually I really don't either so perhaps I got lucky? I'm sure an experienced jedi would have shredded me but maybe not with the heavy investment in equipment and studying tactics for weeks. So after wasting 3 hours I got one kill. Total payout 60K. Not even enough to pay for the foodbuffs I used to prepare. Waste of time....yes. Thrill of the hunt always makes me excited. Still trying to determine if I should grind another profession (then again smugglers can't smuggle, etc., etc) or should I add some jedi skills to MBH.

Double-mastery jedi worth 60k?

Bug?? I thought that was odd to. I reported it as a bug immediately and got the nice customer service reponse as always. I think there are still some things that need to be fixed and this is one of them. There is no way I'm wasting my time to get jipped out of credits also!

Glad to hear you had a successful mission, however My first mission wasn't as successful. My mark was on a incline of a mountain, I stopped my speeder and his group immediatley knew of my presence in which they scrambled and the jedi was in my face before i fired the first shot. Never could knock him down or get anything started for that matter...Sigh...

Oh well, this is just gonna take some getting used to

So we go through droids making our droid engineers very happy.

We go though food faster than a pie eating contest and drink more than ...a very thristy drinking..thing.

And we we do eventually find someone not on kash, they are practically luke skywalker himself.

Oh and if we do win we get 60k for the trouble.

Oh what fun.

I hate inclines. But in my case I was on the higher ground for this kill. That made a difference, maybe? The biggest difference is thathim and the group just weren't paying attention. Next time the outcome will be different. I've been killed before and it will happen again. Anybody else get jipped out of credits for a higher level jedi?

I think the faction listing is great. I don't really care about not getting the name, but if it is to remain that way, they need to only list missions for Jedi who are online. It would be like going to the mission terminal with a group and traveling out into the wild to discover that in fact there is no lair to attack.

Yes, how do we survive monaterily?? Not everybody has large amounts of credits. If your in this profession now, it certainly can't be to make a profit because if you do the analysis you will see the risk far outweighs the gain in credits. Food and equipment are expensive. My first post-20 kill was not worth the effort and preparation in credits. So do we kill now because we purely enjoy the hunt? One to mull over.

It does list only online jedi, however....the update is only like every 3 hours, so they were online within the last 3 hours basically....

Yeah if you get only 60K for a MLS/MD, you may as well take 2 NPC bounties. You'll win everytime, use less resources, and make more money!

...which sadly is all but useless information. It needs to be a little more accurate than that to be of any use. Kind of a bummer when the primary purpose of your character is a task that may or may not be able to be performed when you are playing.
