I'm so sick of this "Separate the Men From the Boys" Mentality!
Yeah, only really good BHers who want to expend the effort to deal with the serious pains of this new system will hang around. You are correct. How are people saying that this is a good thing? Are you serious? Do we really just want a few elite Bounty Hunters running around (Jedi don't answer that ?
I've have already lost 5 good BH friends, who were generally good Bounty Hunters,that could have probably gotten some kills in this new system (full temp included). Many BH guilds will be disbanded and/or greatly struggle with the update of this patch. A lot of good, fun people will leave the profession or the game entirely. It is not about "manning up or growing balls." It is about enjoying your profession and most are not going to enjoy this profession any longer. They understand how big of a disasster this is for the Bounty Hunter community. Believe it or not, some BH like to hunt just for fun and don't try to be the most elite bounty hunter on the server.
What would happen if SWG decided to make it so that only the most elite Jedi would surviveand prosper?Would we be making posts that say "Separate the Men From the Boys?" I don't think so.

Actually...the Force Ranking System does just that....and we're eagerly awaiting it's return.

True seems that they have not yet started the thread "Separate the Girls from the Women"
but don't worry they will get to it 
as soon as the first female BH complains
