Since it says Force armor 2 is +40 inate armor I assume force armor at Enh x2xx is +20 inate armor?
Thanks

well you just kind of explained it yourself there, from the old combat system the force cost was 1.5 per one damage point for FA1 and 1.2 per one damage point for FA2
not sure about the force costs now
FA2 rating is: 40
and i would guess FA1 is 20

Is force armor worth it? I know way, way back it used to be a big drain on the force bar, didn't know if that was still the case. In theory, when combined with master defender, not much damage should get through. Wondering if improved force armor is worth the skill points from those who have tried/have it.

Well, they cut the force costs and it now stacks with inate armor so if you don't have mdef, it's best to grab force armor.

never had mdef before but i would guess it'd be overkill...

this actually clears up nothing for me as a noob jedi.
lets say I have def 44xx and innate armor, that is equal to what?
6k rebel energy def armor?
Not understanding the numbers as they are not the same
Is 40 points of innate armor eaqual = to only 40 energy resistance in say, storm trooper armor?
Cuz obviously that would be uselessly rediculous.
Is 1 pint of innate armor = to 100 in a rez catagory in real armor?
what is the translation please? I have No idea where to read up on thses things.
Then, WHAT is the transalation of force armor as same?
Why cant they all be the same kind of catagory with out a need for translation, for god sakes?
Sigh.

I believe you just add 2 zeros to the end, ex:20 = 2000 40 = 4000
That makes it comparable to armor right now

1 point of inate armor = 100 points of 'real' armor.
Cap is 10000 real armor, 100 inate armor.
100 inate armor gives 60% protection.
Force armor gives inate armor which adds to any inate armor you already have.
Force cost is only for damage the force armor inate armor blocks.

My current template is ( Master Sabers, Healer 4000, Defender 0042, Enhancer 3404 ). It's a fantastic PvE / PvP template, it's a wonderful tank and stacking Force Armor with Force Aura....a dream come true. Force Armor is a 40% damage reduction, when adding Force Aura, Force Infusion with it...trust me...excerlent.
