Nice. Where'd you find that pistol? Anyone know how to obtain this, the Jawa Ion Pistol and Proton Rifle?

do quest for boba fett he gives ya thie kdy21 pistol then when you finish it you get choice of the clone rifle or clone carbine. the rifle is HUGE!
However. While not even being marksman I use an advanced laser rifle to not only have a ranged taunt but to help me cause mayhem in tactical difficult situations, too.

I must agree. Incredibly useful to show the scope of weapons out there, but the DPS's seem to be a bit...wrong. I'm imagining that the base DPS listed there might be the base DPS before the WS does anything at all with it - once that happens it automatically changes it. If so, then the looted/quest weapons need to be put separately, so that one set of information can be compared internally (i.e. Adv. Laser Rifle over T21 or spraystick to see which to experiment on) without the other coming in to muddy the results (i.e. the DC-15 rifle - base DPS of 270, and as it's a quest reward it's always 270)
If I'm wrong, then can we have the updated base DPS information anyway? (Cause at the moment, there is no need to become Master Rifleman to use the best rifle in the game - Adv. Laser Rifle and T21 seem to be identical apart from skin).
Actually thinking about it, I know there is a cap on the max and min damage any schematic can do (which is where the T21 wins over the Adv. L. Rifle - just remembered). It would be useful to have that listed as well, to see how good the weapon is we are buying.
But...fantastic post! Something has been needed like this for ages.
PS: Yes I am a rifleman

Excellent. I would pay for the information you have provided. The CU was absolutely misleading and discouraging, having to loose the ability to use the best weapons I had and that I have paid for expensively. However, you have given me the spark to continue playing with a different view.
You are awesome. I congratulate you. I must imagine it has time consuming. I'm sure many players are just as grateful as I am. I'm Zatron, server Chilastra ( a happy wookie), also Neopheus, server Bloodfin (a happy human and almost Master Commando)
If ever u need help, look me up.
Thank you very much.
don't know if anyone else has gotten in to do the nak'tra crystal knife quest yet but here's some stats on the ones i'm able to craft now.
Combat level 40
no skill required
base speed 2.16
damage ~360-700
base DPS ~240
i'm pretty sure the type is kinetic and of course it's melee so no real range to it but i'm not in game right now so can't look at it. for non-combative weaponsmiths, just get your guild to give you their nak'tra crystal loots so you can complete the quest and make some later. they're a pretty decent weapon though it doesn't make up for all the others we can't craft.
This is a great help to a newbie

I recognize the phrase 'DPS' as a standard notation, but used mainly in wargaming. In a game where few players actually 'shoot' for 'seconds' at a time, it feels a bit tacked-on. If SWG were going for alarge-scale strategic battlefield combat system (and the associate command/control that implies), it could make sense.
As it stands now, unless someone is willing to use a beam weapon from one place and train it on a single target, DPS is just TMI, to be blunt. Unless they plan on expanding the game to a stragegic level, it just doesn't makes sense...just more extraneous data.
And as for the intial post...kudos! My main question is---why wasn't that information already there along with the schematics? As it stands, being a Master Weaponsmith (granted, I hit Master two days after CU went live, but I've been working at it for a while) wouldn't I know what the weapons I make will be able to do, and who can use them, CL-wise? Complexity has no ratio to the end-result CU of the weapon in question, and if it does, the formula is too arcane for even us 'masters' to figure...

P.S. Was/is still a rifleman....in spirit
nice job!
could u make the list a tad more user friendly for those that dont know their cl lvl off hand. For example, I want to know what weapon i can use at NOVICE swordsman, but i dont know my lvl off hand. Perhaps a tag in brackets at the lvl for novice elite professions would help
