Not so stupid at all, but yes I did and it's why I posted. Since I've had problems with pups before I didn't even try on the proton rifle.

What is the effect on the proton rifle can anyone please tell me? Is it a 5m radius Aoe?
mine is speed sliced but what damage are you hitting for i slapped a jedi with an advanced critical for 1800 before she ran and pumped herself pvp this gun is awsome with speed and acuracy atachments you dont need to apply states they are already stunned when they see 2/3 of there life gone with one shot. and if you look at the combat log you wwill do an aditional elemental dammage(i think i maybereading wrong i saw 2 hits the when i looked the guy i dueled claimed 3).

I went damage slice, and after a 33%damage P'up, my min damage is 746. I recently struck an elite mob, level 82 for 2700 points of damage PVE with advanced reckless shot (pyro, critical hit). With the proton rifle, like most heavies, you need to squeeze more damage out of each shot, not drain your action pool faster. Stick with damage slices on these unless you are a split melee/ranged template, and absolutely need the additional speed.

2% speed
3% critical hit
