Lots of talk of people taking up BH with 13.1 Patch now live. Might see a little lift in Seekers and Araykds?

I'm personally seeing a serious jump in the sales of both types of BH droids. I'm not sure if it's related to the publish 13 or 13.1 changes. The client I spoke with stated that finding a DE vendor that stocked crated BH droids was very very hard.

Respectfully,

Well for a while last year when I was active on Corbantis, I had some steady sales: if it wasn't for having to move several times, I might have kept it up.

The problem is with all the stupid sub component chips you need for each. (3gp/1mem for Arakyd, 2gp/1mem for probe) That right there chews up a ton of factory time, and if you are making crate runs in any quantity for the final product, you grind through more time and crate shuffling to get things done.. I've considered making smaller runs, but you just end up doing more of them, and on a limited schedule with limited factory time, I'd like to run something other than BH droids

I've considered offering special packages to BH's, where I put together a full kit that should last them a while, and run a factory run just for the one BH. The drawback to that is, the Bh has to lay all the money out up front, and may not want to use a house to store the 30-40 crates the end order might be.

*sighs* Been considering jumping ship too... I have tried nearly everything and have minimal sales. I just think it is stupid that it costs money to transfer. If it is their intent to limit exploitation.... they should limit it to one per account every 3 months or so.

Two questions here. First off, I'm trying to come up with my post-CURB skill set. Right now, I'm thinking along the lines of Master Rifles/Carbines/Marksman, with 0003 in Bounty Hunter. That will give me eye and torso shot, which I can use with my rifles and carbines. It'll be on a rifle-based tree, so thats good for my skill set. However, I'm not sure.

Is that the most worthwhile part of BH for me to take? Should I consider Investigation, or maybe the Bounty Carbines tree?

Second, a bit of recruiting.

I know some people get cranky about this, but hopefully you won't. I'm looking for a Bounty Hunter to join my RP Guild on Chilastra. We're inspired by (ie. we stole some of the names, costumes, team structure, etc) from Stargate SG-1, but we'll be working as if we're a Rebel SpecOps unit. Our "SG-2" team is gonna be a commando/strike team. Among one of the ideas the team's CO fielded was recruiting people to be able to take down a faction base. He also asked about having a Bounty Hunter.

Personally, I think it'd be useful to have a BH/Rifleman, so the unit has a sniper. However, there's a possibility of the hypothetical Novice BE being able to take Rifleman, so its not urgent. You don't have to be on Chilastra now - if you'd like to start a new character, you're more than welcome...we'll do what we can to help you get started out. We prefer Rebels and Rebel Pilots, but if you'd rather be a little different, we can probably arrange something.

Contact me over the forums, or Orbren in game, or post on our forums (on our site, sgc.gs101.com).

/end RP plug.

I would like to hear from any would be or Master Bounty Hunters who would like to join a Guild dedicated to the art of Bounty Hunting. The aims of the guild would be:

1. To group together to complete the quests within the game

2. To assist other bounty hunters in ther training

3. To hunt down and kill Jedi, whatever there allegiances

4. To promote the art of Bounty hunting regardless of an allegiance, the guild would be for Imp/Rebel/neutral people.

If anyone is interested please email me in game

Can anyone explain this:

I read bh want good duels, then y are they hiding in the woods and waiting for u to be in mid middle of a lair or trying to get a badge and they come and attack u when ur low on all ur health bar and force, ur surrounded by agros.. do they really want a good duel or they just cheap low getto bh that chicken out of a duel?

What i think the game needs, is that a bh must pay a cost when they die from a jedi.. what do they loose? i can answer that a big fat 0.

In a matter of secs. u have lost xp that u have grinded out for a wk. they spit and kick ya when ur down and bd and laugh about it..

I understand the bh prof. but they really have become the getto bh..

In other words you only want to fight when you have the clear advantage of 1.5 against 1. You want duels just go challenge people, but calling BHs cowards when they are the ones attacking a stronger opponent is just silly.

As for what BHs lose - cost of droids, cost of food, cost for buffs, armor damaged in the fight, time spent tracking and waiting for a Jedi, time wasted when most marks are sitting in a house or log to escape, enhancers, stims, etc. Jedi hunting is EXPENSIVE, you have to buy the best of everything just to have a chance. And even then most marks defeat you.

I am a jedi.

but i must say that although i feel a jedi should have the force tell them that something is about to happen or what ever, the Bounty Hunter was given, the first strike and as a "hunter" should hunt his prey, target, mark (what have you) at his convenience. Sure it sucks chuba bones that he got ya when you were pretty vulnerable. but that is the nature of the beast in my opinion. I have been cought like that as well and loss as a result of it. well, i changed my way of playing. We can be very effective if we play our cards right.

If you were to say to me then, "well i should be able ot play my jedi" well, there are both a positive and negative answer to that.

1. Yes of course you should play your jedi and have all the fun you want. Do i agree with some of the things this game as far as mechanics has? not by a long shot.

2. If you are not a full template, then you should consider grinding out the rest before attempting to badge it or what have you. it protects you in the long run. If you are full templated. then at the moment, losing experience points is not that much of an issue to you, or shouldn't be, rather.

do i believe the Bounty Hunter should incur a loss upon a defeat? ABOSLUTELY. Seeing how all they need to do is clone after a kill, that is not really a suitable defeat. I know this is a game, but if they could go after a player character where earning 225k is at stake, and if the lose, well, they should lose some of it or maybe put on the terminals.

Bounty hunters are the only profession whos mechanics are implimented to PvP. every other profession can PvP as well, but the Bounty Hunter is the Only one who has that mechanic where PvP is put in. so being put on the terminals would not be a bad thing for them because they took the profession to PvP. I would love to see a BH v BH bounty as well. Would be very interesting.

I know a rambled a bit. but playing the devil's advocate here, they have that right to hunt when they see fit. I hate it for you that that happened. but i learned from that mistake as well.

Shay'de, I know it's not me killing you that you are mentioning here, but it was me that drove you over the edge. But i would like to mentionafewthings here.

1. Shay'de was a 223K mark, so pretty close to full temp, and certainly at a point where i have no problem delivering a DB.

2. You can always try running or asking for mercy. I can't speak for others but i will certainly consider it. On the other hand, if you have master saber, I won't think twice.

3. The bounty hunter technically has no penalty because we didn't chose to be the elite class in the game. Yes the path is hard, but the rewards are great.

But I will once again say i'm sorry, and if there is anything I can do to make it up to you, and restore your faith in the game let me know.

As a jedi: I think that BH's are nothying more than a minor annoyance at worst, and some good pvp at best.

As a BH: BH's lose enough when they are defeated. Condition of armor, non-adked weapons, and the expense of droids, foods, spices, and vehicle repair costs are all lost when we die. If anything, a few more specials would be nice to counter the awesome strength of a well played jedi.

BH vs BH would be nice too, as would BH vs Smugglers or BH vs GCW terrorists.

Then again, I think Commando needs more attention than any other single profession out there, followed by Ranger.
