Act 1 was four discs (Imp or Reb, it won't matter) that you collected, assembled, and turned into a faction recruiter. It was said the discs would no longer drop once the first story arch was over, but I've actually seen a few drop since then.You might trypurchasing the discs thru your server forums here if nothing else. Many people saved additional sets and the quest can only be done once. You'll know the discs by the "Project Deadeye" discription when you read them. Act 1 can be done for either side (it won't matter) depending on which disc set you collect, but it can only be done once if I recall.
Act 2 was more mission-oriented. It starts at a faction coordinator where you are sent on a half dozen or so little missions. It concludes with an attack on a radio tower that will be assigned to you on one of the adventure planets (you may need help with this part). I knowone rebel coordinator is in Tyrena, Corellia. I don't recall where I found the Imerial coordinator. Act 2 can be done for both sides, I believe.
Do forum searches on Act1 and Act2 if you're looking for more information.
There was not Act3......or more specifically, no storyline archwith the last publish.
Is there anywhere I can get a list of what badges are available besides the monthly act badges?

you must not have been on these pages long, do a search for badges youll probably turn up quite a few threads, ill do a search see how long it takes.
the only badges available so far are:
- cries of alderran, act 1
- cries of alderran, act 2
- The warren, compassion letter
- The warren, imperial hero
- Mark of intellect
- Mark of altruism
- CSR given badges (ie. exceptional biography, brave soldier, etc.)
The mark of intellect and altrisum can be found in tatooine (search the forum for their coordinates). These are hard, and yes, might need some luck to find its spawn due the the rareness of the spawn rate.
The csr given badges are also requires luck, as you have to be at the right place at the right time, and assume the csr even looks at you 
The warren is located at dantooine.

Another noob question here. Can anyone tell me how i can go about acquiring badges, or where i can find some more info re this.
