it would "seem", from generalizing all that i've read, that it's damage is based on how little health you have left, compared to your max health.

A 8k total health, when down to 1k, has done 6k in damage. However, it also seems to have an equal chance of missing, or doing very minimal damage. In either case, you will be incapped on the next hit.

I use it, and reccomend it's use, only when you know you are going to die.

There have been reports tho that it has done 4k + damage on the first hit of the fight.

Like I said, we have no official word, and I'm willing to bet it's borked in all kinds of ways. Again, my reccomendation is to use only when you have no other option.. you just might get lucky.

(4 outta 5 times used last night it incapped me instead)

I just got last ditch. I have used it 5 times. Worked once. And the effects of that once was less than encouraging. I was at the deathwatch bunker on endor with a group. I was getting my butt handed to me by a battle droid, and I used it, It hit, but only did about 2500 damage.The battle droid still had somewhere around 18-19k of hitpoints left.

I thought that the damage done was relative with LD, so shouldn't I have done more damage than that?

Seeing that this move doe's not always hit, I do not understand why it has all this negative attention from the jedi population.And OMG the recharge on it is forever.
