tc2 jedi got theirs because they were already on tc and played during a certain time period, so there is no tother way sorry.

1. Make sure you have enough hard disk space to run a second copy of SWG


2. Run your live launchpad


3. Log in and hit the "Test Center" button in the bottom left.


4. You will be taken to a new launchpad


5. As you login you will have to set a new directory, do NOT pick the main SWG one, this needs a separate directory.


6. It will copy across your live server files and you will then download the new files


7. Login and make a new character


8. TEST!

If you have used TC in the past (say for CU testing)and already have a launchpad do these steps:

1. Load live and double checkyou are up to date.


2. Close live


3. Go to your live directory (default C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxies)


4. Select all the .TRE and .EXE and .TOC files


5. Go to your TC directory (default C:\Program Files\StarWarsGalaxiesTestCenter)


6. Paste them (overwrite as needed)


7. Now run TC launchpad and you will only have a small number of files to download.


8. The initial testing is taking place on a blank server so if you see your toon from ages ago there you are too quick and need to wait for Tiggs to update her thread!

Now you have TC up you need to make a new shortcut to reach it (unless you want to log into live each time before you go to TC), I personally have this on my desktop, the key is the target box which has to contain:

• "C:\Program Files\Sony\Station\Launchpad\LaunchPad.exe" /game:StarWars /testcenter

This will bypass the live launchpad and take you direct to TC.

Given how much this game is changing I don't recommend taking your live macro's and UI settings as you need to come to this with a totally fresh mind (much easier to get used to it that way).

PLEASE NOTE

• Early testing will be on a temporary blank server, there will be no character builders (frogs) and we need people to work through the early stages to make sure the experience is enjoyable


• Mid-High level testing will take place on TC-Prime (which will be in mothballs during the early test) and on clone servers.


• The names of the clones haven't been decided but the following should be observerd:


• A clone server will copy a complete live server to some TC hardware, if you have a toon on that live server you can log into it, it will likely be a few days old copy so don't worry if it doesn't match your live toon exactly.


• Anything you do on the TC-clone will NOT affect live
  
  
  
  • You can claim veteran rewards on TC and not affect live
  
  
  • You can win/lose at PvP and your live toon rating isn't affected (but please don't lag out the place for everyone, you can test PvP by moving away from crowds if they are still getting set up and used to controls)
  
  
  • You can respec and your live toon will still have the full set of respecs
