Thread: Did they nerf MBH loot?

Umm... because wrote the code for it? Any other dumb questions?

Well and honestly, how would he know.
I was getting melons and bugs from day 1 of Publish 21, that's no nerf.
They wrote the code for the original slicing system too. Anymore dumb*ss remarks?
Let's go it a little further. How many YEARS was it that NPC marks weren't dropping ANYTHING good? and it was just less than a month ago that Blixtev went, tried a few, and said to himself "this bites, let's fix it." By your thinking they know about every single bug because they intentionally put it there.
If you're going to flame someone at least do it right.

No, no... Blixtev would know because BLIXTEV wrote that code. I think he'd know what he wrote... dumbass.
Code doesn't change itself, you know.
You asked how he would know? I told you. Yes, it was a stupid question of you to ask and you lack the grace to accept and admit that.

But the better question is why are we getting melons and bugs? I could understand getting that off of a level 1 chunker, but this is supposed to be high end content. Melons and bugs should not be on the loot table. The occasional picture I don't mind.
Because loot is random. Be happy that you get at least something, not every krayt drops a pearl and a lot dont drop anything. You are fighting marks around lvl 80, not 250+.

I found this response from Blixtev pretty hillarious
In short words: No, BH loot has not been nerfed.
Well and honestly, how would he know. I remember a time when the Dev team insisted that slicing was also based on "skill" Of course that ended up not being true.Honestly anytime you kill a CL82 and get a melon (friend got one last night) or a jar of foraged bugs, I'd consider that nerfed.
In fact, WTH are foraged bugs even in the item database? Just a useless piece of poo designed to lag the game and make us groan? hehehe.
Blixtev wrote the code about a month or two ago and is a little more in charge of the game than the average dev as far as I know. I doubt anybody would change his code without talking to him up front, and he didnt change it himself.
If you consider it nerfed everytime you get a jar of foraged bugs, sit back a little and think back about 3 months and compare the average loot nowadays to the average loot back then.

This was my first CA on my first mark today:
Force Power Max +4
w/ One-Handed Weapon Speed +2
w/ Two-Handed Ls Speed +15
You tell me, was loot nerfed?
The LS speed alone would fetch 7.5-10 million on Kauri. Another 2 million at least for the Force Power Max and a bit extra because they are both on the same tape.
Got 25 mil for it on Starsider...

No, I understand that I'm not to get uber items on every kill. But looting a melon or foraged bugs just seems pointless.
Close to 40 BH missions completed - and not 1 BH armor schem to show for it. Mostly have enough loot to start a smuggler supply business.
So last night I started around 8PM Central time and decided to do mission after mission until I get 1 BH schematic - at server reset I still have not seen any.
This stinks. I know people that did about 30 missions and got all 10 schems and are wearing the armor - I got jack!
Although I did pick up some enh power cells last night - 1/40 aint bad.

Really, and what developer team have you been listening to the for the last 2 years? Blixtev didn't rewrite the database and he isn't the only programmer working on SW:G (well, maybe he is. who knows these days.) If it's a game-wide thing, exactly how would Blixtev have control over, much less KNOW about it.

Again, if's game-wide then it's not a matter of someone fiddling specifically with "his code" it is simple a matter of something being changed in another part of the system that is affecting everyone's loot.
Do you honestly think he knows every bit of the millions of lines of code dealing with this game? C'mon. Be real.
