I look at it this way I build my template on the basis of "What is useful IN combat?" Therefore I do not have channel. Mytemplate is Mls/Mdef 4000 heal and 0001 enh but am changing atm to 4040 healer for imp sap I do not have any need for channel as it is irrelevant when in combat due to it lessening your HAMs. I never have any trouble in battle because I only take what I use in battle I can sit out a fight Im patient enough thats what a year worth of grinding from pre cu to now does to you. So my advice is, you can use it if you want to, only go with what you plan to use in battle there are holocrons for force replenishing and since its not very common for jedi to not have channel anyone im with gives me force if I need it.

agree it is the temp i use

i have some regain tapes wich are helping loads aswell

with all the regain and force yuo get from 2,5 temp you never need channel really

Im glad to see that im not the only one with a temp that contains only the necessary techniques for battle.

I got ridiculed when i made the template but now i last longer than my pals in PvP

You have to make sap work for you...its not like choke or lightning where you throw it and it hits....its all about the timing...sap is what you use when the bh has pushed his mind and action down to low levels by attacking you and you hit him before he can pop in foods to regen. it is also good to hit him while he is down. for some reason sap works better while the bh is down.

if u have the sap then u have force shock also. i put them on a one time run macro to hit the target quickly.

Hmm, I think you missunderstand what sap does. It is a debuff to Regen. It does not take away any of their mind or action directly. It simply slows down thier regen.

So with this in mind Sap is one of the first attacks you want to use. Then just keep reappling it. It will help you in the following ways:

1. Lower the BH's DPS if it is a long fight because they will be constantly out of action. This is even more true for BH/Rifles which use lots of action.

2. If the BH is low on action and you KD them they will stay down longer waiting for thier action to regen enough to allow them to use KD recovery. This is where you will get many extra kills in. Save your KD, let them run out of action, then AB, KD, Power attack, body, leg, etc.

3. Will drain down the BH's mind if they are doing lots of DoTs or Healing. In a long fight this can make a large difference.

Shock simply improves the chance of landing state attacks. So if your going to use it with Sap then use it first. However, Sap seems to land every time for me so I dont bother with Shock.

This is very good info. I think I will get this next.

Not to derail, but I never could get a straight answer on this. Since we are talking healer stuff, does anyone know if heal states can be used on others? It isn't very useful right now but I've always wondered about that.

improved last longer. before the nerf it also gave a lot more debuff. after the nerf i'm not sure what the hard data is on the debuff...

Don't argue with idiots, they just drag you down to their lvl and beat you with experience!!

With the template I have in mind I would only be able to get 4020 healer. Thats just basic Force Sap. Would that suffice you think or should I try to redo template because 0040 is "THAT" much better.

0020 sap makes 20 reduction in mind regenand 25 reduction in action regen, in those battles vs mcm it should come in handy once their action and mind starts to become a factor
