Thread: Feign Death
Feign Death worked fine for me yesterday (10/23) on multiple occasions while killing Stormies and gaining faction points.
Don't know why it wasn't working for you... *shrug*...
How long will the feign death be effective after you initially use it?
Feign death will be good until combat is disengaged (mob moves out of range for long enough time, etc.) or when you switch targets.
Is this true?
If it is, don't you have to do something like:
/healthShot1;
/bodyShot1;
/feignDeath;
Can you queue up feign death 2 attacks before when you need it?
Well, if you just bleed the mob, then FD with NO other attack after the bleeds, you wont get any xp. The dmg that the mob looses will got to a non existing person 
so you wont have loot/harvest permissions.
about the other question: you can que up Fd. its like some kind of state: the first hit you take; you fd. But if you fd when the mob wont aggro/attack you, you can just w8 the (hughe) delay, then enter 64 meters and shoot the mob (as said before)

Can someone plz explain to me how this works? whenever i press this it just says "preparing to feign death" or something like that. when do i actually feign death
Yeah you can do that if you want. Gets pretty boring after while though. Although if you can put a burn on them you probably won't have to wait very long. Make sure you hit whatever it is with something other then a bleed-shot before you got though else you won't get any xp for it, bleed shots alone don't give xp but even if you hit it with a single shot that isn't a bleed you will get full xp.
Also stay down until the bleed/burn wears off else they willl agro you again, and makes sure all your bars are positive before trying to stand else you'll get incapped for real.
I recommend you use it as a last resort move though or a move to avoid combat if you're trying to run somewhere and get attacked.
Ok whats up with feign death? Just now i got into a fight with an imperial PC. Frankly i shouldn't have engaged in the first place against a rifleman / combat medic as i have no fighting skills other then novice pistoleer and my smuggler specials. But anyhow...i knew i was going to get owned and was getting owned. So i decide to FD, so ihit the button and the FD "went through". Well how long does it take? and when FD was present in my bar for effects i assume i am FD. But end up getting Incapped. And then he proceeds to envelope me with disease. Well apparantly he's got aggro and is to busy to DB me i assume since the incap meter is still running. And the whole time my incap meter still keeps going up on occasion from the disease i assume? anyway was i considered FD'd because it showed up on my effects bar? but i was still taking damage and able to be diseased is that suppose to happen when FD? Was this a bug?

I think SanTsu meant to say they CAN keep attacking you and drop your bars down to zero...
I've noticed that in PvP, using feign death is usually responded to by your opponet turning all your stat bars black with wounds. I call it "Operation Imperial Pincussion".

What about the time it takes for the FD icon to turn green and tell you your about to feign death whats the time for that to happen? because at least 5 seconds after im usually standing and end up getting incapped before i fall down but it shows up that i'm FD while standing and then most of the time if it does work i get a huge knockdown in my HAM is this like a negative result of going LD? And am iincapped for the time it takes the incap bar to move down and then considered FD after? Hope this is clear enough.
