Thread: Insane LS damage?

I have been hit for 1300+ without the use of armor break. This was 3 hits in about 3 seconds each doing 1300+. No armor break and I was standing.

Wow. So that's what happens when a Jedi attacks a Master Dancer.

I need to vent a little. I'm not here to further the rage and strife between BH, Jedi and the Devs, but I'm pretty aggrivated. Last night I thought I'd try out the new "nameless" system and see what happens. I'm by no means the greatest BH, but I can hold my own for the most part. I find my mark standing around running macros. Well I know that he's not going anywhere soon, so I figure I'll start shooting (at least he hasn't seen me). I'm on a full buff, with full food and drink mind you. I get a root off and start nailing him with Adv Crit and Imp Body shots. My recharge rate on my attack timers is so fast I have trouble keeping up. The root breaks so I snare, some knockdowns here and there. When the Jedi does finally get in range and starts attacking me, he's hitting for 800 to 1028 damage consistently. I checked my log later and saw that my pup'd Proton Carbine, around 900 max damage and a health 600 DPS was hitting for 97 to a max of 147 on this Jedi. I know my tactics weren't great (well not there) and I'm not mad at the fight as I did all I could to kill and survive, but how can we even think about competing with damage like that when we're hitting for 147? 1.5 times more powerful my ass. Does this seem wrong to anyone else or am I just bitter?

I have to agree with RydOnRadiant here, its possible to hit for that much damage and hit once a second without using a exploit.
I can hit for 1k easily once a sec... and its not a exploit.
I have mls, forcespeed, 4 pearls nearperfect with -.29 speed on them, and speed ca's, add the doc buff 40%, factor all them together and you can accomplish it.
if that's true then who can beat you besides another jedi with the same ability?
Is this more evidence of an alpha class being a bad idea?
Rifles, Carbine and Pistols have a decent range for this reason. If your a rifleman and your letting jedi get close enough to you so they can hit you, then your a crap pvper.
Roots, snares, Daze, paralysis are all designed to keep your taget at bay. A jedi will easily be able to hit you for 1k damage, but if you stay out of range, then they cant do much.
As far as melee goes. TKM/Swordsman/4xxx doc will wipe the floor with most jedi.
When u realize how much we spent on perfect tuned pearls, u won't be surprised t get pwned in 10 secs.
I used to buff at starports 5 days a week for 6 hrs a day to get about 500mil. I spent almost 450mil on dozens of flawless / premium pearls and got only6 perfect tunes. The flustration of wasting 7mil on a badly tuned pearl is far beyond losing 500k xp to a bh. BTW, all these happended before the ADK was introduced into the game.
Yes, I owned a pretty powerful LS and can easily do 1k dmg with Saber Throw and a bit more with Armor Break + KD. What I am suggesting is that doing over 1k dmg does not necessarily means committing a cheat. And easily getting into the belief ofcheating only wounds your gameplay, and absolutely not mine.
atm, i havnt had a non jedi beat me, i can take most down within 10 sec, as for jedi, i can take most ofthem down quickly as well, long as you know your combat moves... just stating it is possible to hit hard and fast without exploiting.
