./sign by yet another jedi, if the xp is removed, then why noit leave player bounties??


BH's coming after me was near enough the only content i get on myjedi toon atm!

I was a MBH myself before i went to melee (no-I wasnt respec or anything - used my token to get MMarksman so all of my 5 temp. shifts are pure grind). Anf player bounties were the only joy of mine when I went BH. You devs destroyed my profession (pure melee), but don't destroy something that is a big part of the game.

My 2 cents…

Every class has a pro and con. The pro for Jedi is that they should be a bit more powerful in PvP than other class’s but not always more powerful in every situation. As for the BH they are not very good with groups but do have an element of surprise when it comes to collecting a bounty. I say they not only leave Jedi bounties in game but also add other player classes to the list. I also think they could add a twist to this by allowing a spy to, for lack of a better word, get wind of the hit and in some way benefit from this. They could very easily weave all the classes into a GCW with this kind of concept and with a little creativity make this game a very successful MMORPG.

Now if you are a Jedi and you don’t like the idea of forced PvP then don’t be one. I would never go and become a smuggler and then complain that I don’t like making spice and or slicing weapons. Jedi is just like every other class in that it has a Pro (better at PvP and maybe some other content) and Cons (forced PvP for the sake of adding content to other classes). The combat upgrade isn’t altogether a bad idea it just need some creative and imaginative people pulling the stings. I could offer up a lot of other possibilities but being this is a thread based on trying to keep this portion of game content I will refrain. Above all things don’t assume that a class should be tailored to your play style and likes. If this game is to truly be more “Star Warsy” then player bounties is a step in the right direction and not visa versa.

I also think that smugglers and not BHs should get the really good loot. Think about it they are not smuggling for the shear pleasure of doing it.

Well idisagree you see this game doesnt revolve around the bounty hunter profession

its all about the galactic civilwar. How can you justify keeping player bounties when you had

jedi nerfed down to a regular profession? then coming on here and inciting further hate

between the two professions


Last few publishes bh's got i win buttons shoved up their a** while jedi suffered nerfs as a consequence

player bounties should be removed from the game, and this thread deleted.

You can’t look at what the last few published did or didn't do as the entire system is now being reworked. Don't get stuck on the old systems short comings. As I stated in my last post, Jedi should have an advantage in PvP but nerfing player content because you weren't as successful due to a publish that happened months ago isn't the answer.

LOL sorry i couldnt resist. But in all seriousness I'm pretty glad that player bounties are going the way of all things pre-cu. Some people really enjoyed that aspect of the game and im not without empathy. I would see no problem with people being able to opt-in, but i am pretty certain that it will never happen and we all just need to move on and look forward to some major pvp in the GCW. That should be our focus, the future, throwing out workable ideas to help enhance pvp in the war. I see this issue becoming the new "bring back the cu" topic that ends up hitting the forums every day. Let it rest, its going to be gone, and it most likely is never coming back. It was fun while it lasted. Let's not revist old tired ideas but generate some fresh ones that will be fun for every one.








Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

There should be other player missions for other classes too...to boost the so called GCW...


Like why do Spies have the "assasinate" skill? So they can go assasinate an npc? Woooohoooo...big fun...


PvP missions could really boost up the whole GCW and move it beyond a few ganksquads running back and forth between AH and Bestine...
