Yesterday I tracked my mark to Theed, out front of the starport. I tab around and find the mark about 100m away with a group of other jedi. Buff were running like mad, so I hoped that the Jedi would be dueling someone soon. Then outta nowhere, a guy on a jetpack comes flying in and meets up with my mark! Then my mark starts saying things like "My turn! My turn!"

The guy who had it says, "Ok, just don't get it blown up!"

I thought, "Awesome." And soon enough, my mark jumps up into the air on it. Well, I figured it was worth it to take out a jet pack. So I target it, Crit shot, and it's done! It goes flying off, my mark jumps out. The fight was pretty quick thanks to a poorly timed KD bug and some well timed lag. But, as I lay there incapped with Jedi slapping my face, I read in spatial as the Jedi proclaimed:

"Triple incap him!"

So as the incap timer wears down, I'm spamming my stims and bacta shot. I jump up, heal, KD, snare and burst run outta the scene! I made it onto my swoop and was able to retreat!

I went back later after the Tef had worn off but the Jedi was buffed, and then logged out. Never got to finish it, but it was a lot of fun taking out a jetpack, even if they can be fixed now.

Note to Jedi: If you have a chance to DB a BH, then do it.

Before they took the names off the terms I used to grab my friends missions, then i'd run up and Underhand Shot them, drop the mission,then /burstrun away laughing.

Jedi flying around with jetpacks. Now why doesn't that sound like SW at all. IMO shoot all the jedi that fly with jetpacks as often as possible. This game is too unstarwarsy to be called Star Wars Galaxies

Seriously Hun How is it griefingjust because he was aglowstick and was stupid enuf to put on a JetPack while being on the terms. U have to realize Glowsticks r way out of control and alot r unbeatable Ive beaten exactly 3 out of maybe 100 missions ive taken since glowstick criedenuf about fictional gank squads on lil 50k paddies and we got Pub 20. No im not a FOTM MBH/MCM or some other CM mixtrure cuz i did very well against Jedi with my original template and dont have the heart to change it. So frustration not griefing has alot to do with MBH's actions. We as MBH have turned into the criminals in the this twisted version of SWG not Jedi We have been made to solo instead of u glowsticks We can NO longer team up against a full template. BUT yet a glowstick whoare supposely OUTLAWED during this timeline can do group activities or Be infront of Theed playin Glowstick duels, or my favorite the Yoda Medittate for a hour just so the glowstickcan showoff. So what if he took a jetpack out Maybe theglowstick will learn something. So until the glowsticks either get removed which i pray for everynight that the will give us a Glowstick free server and would gladly transfer to, or they r NERFED till fat lady sings Glowsticks just have to deal with the fact that they r hated by alot of peeps not just BH's we just get to have fun tryin to aggravate/kill them enuf to quit or mothball their glowstick either way would be fine with me at over 500 glowsticks on 1 server alone its gotten past rediculious its gotten downright stupid

I am simply pointing out what he did was griefing. One day he is going to mess with the wrong person... Oh well. As for your Jedi hate that's your problem. I for one as a Jedi (and this can be backed up by Nathanialstarr) I keep a low profile and do not run around being obnoxious but I am on the terms for helping others. I too wish there was less of the sabers being flashed around but that is not reason enough to turn to tactics that are anti-social and in some cases plain cruel. BTW this sort of thing is not just contained to acts toward Jedi or even this game...

There is a set group of people who get on these kinds of games with the set perogative to ruin other peoples online experience. It is only the blind who refuse to admit this kind of group of players exists.

I noticed that you sell Aa'kuans AA's and CA's in your sig. You spent your days at the caves at the keyboard before they nerfed the loot drops?

This was not a tactic to stop someone getting away, it was just someone with low self esteem wanting to grief another player for no practical reason at all. You got pwned, you were annoyed about that, you knew you couldn't take out your mark because you suck so bad, so you took your opportunity to blow up his jetpack as a 'I get the last laugh' tactic. You are pathetic.

I believeit this kinda guy would have also looted TV's in New Orleans and shot atrescue chopperswith that kind of thinking. If you don't have morals, then killing, r.ape, stealing etc must be ok with you. If he said, "I play my character as if this was how he thought..." I would've kept my fingers to themselves and not replied.

I thought it was kinda funny the jetpack got blown up until I read this.

Yeah, because disabling the Jetpack of a jedi who is showing off is really comparable to looting and shooting at rescue personel in real life. Get a grip and get a life guys. You're whole "Code of honor" for a video game is ridiculous. Even more so that you expect Bounty Hunters to follow it.

And for the record: there are numerous reasons for being a BH. I have two BH chars. One is MBH, one will be by the end of the week. I have never hunted players, but that´s my personal choice. Its perfectly acceptable to engage in a Jedi hunt, and seing hordes of glowbat wielders showing off in front of every major starport certainly tempts meat times. But there is necessity and there is cruel intention. If you disable a vehicle to prevent your mark from running, that is a necessary precaution, even if it turns out you can´t handle the mark. But if you just blow up someones virtual property to teach him a lesson, thats being a bully.

On a general note: its funny how people complain about Jedi all day but have no quarrels aboutwhining for a slot in a Jedi/AoE/spinning group to speed up their grind.

It is not griefing for this simple reason the DEVS allow BH's to attack Jedi end of story, there is a system in place and everyone is fully aware of it. I gues when I play capture the flag on Unreal Tournament I should call everyone that frags me to get the flag, griefers because they didn't want to kill me they only wanted the flag.

Come on people it's a game we aren't in elementary school here, if you didn't notice when you start galaxies it says "game experience may change during gameplay", that means you don't know whats going to happen and you are not in control of the system, if you want to play nice then dont' play Multiplayer games plain and simple. Don't we have to deal with PC bullcrap enough in our everyday life??

and as you mentioned in your original post, you did wait for him to equip the jetpack before attacking. You didnt arrive and see him flying on it. You said his friend was riding on it when you got there. Why didnt you just attack him when you first arrived? or at least attack him while he was in the middle of the trade?

You didnt because you didnt want to actually kill the jedi, just destroy the jetpack.
