In publish 10 (probably due in ~mid July) the current method of becoming a jedi changes from "hologrinding" to a quest.

All your questions are answered in the FAQ on top of the board. TEF stands for "Temporary Enemy Flag", This allows your to be attacked.

I realized this is not very clear. You CAN get a TEF if you are aligned with a faction, but you need to do soemthing to get it. Like if you're a rebel and you attack a Stormtrooper, you'll geta TEF. I already explained how Jedi get TEFs. I assume Jedi can get TEF's the same as a Rebel, but I've never attacked a Stormtrooper without a lightsaber, so I can't really confirm...

I do not mean to start an arguement here so post only if you know for sure. I have read all I can on these boards and it is 90% BS from SOE and 10% testosteron from players so here it goes.
Do we know if current jedi will keep a main and a Jedi on their account or will one of the 2 be destroyed when you have to redistribute your xp or whatever?
I have 50 some oddpearls that have not been apraised. If I do not appraise them before rev 10 will they be tuneable after rev 10 or will they be the same tradeable nonsense as it is now?
This TC2 thing..can I get my jedi on it..if so can someone link me to the thread that says what I have to do.

The implication from the Archives II is that all current accounts will remain intact. That is, if you have a main and Jedi, you will still have a Main and Jedi after pub 9. You will have to re-pick skills for your Jedi as they will lose their current skills, but will be FS and -past- the Padawan trials.
For the pearls... they will be tunable after pub 9, but once they are tuned, they belong to the Jedi that tuned them (I've not seen anything if they can be -retuned- by anohter Jedi and used by them). Basically, if you knew the stats now, you would have -some- kind of clue (barring any bugs) as to what they -might- tune to.. but, once they are tuned they are only useable to who tuned them..
As for getting on TC-2, the last day for creating a char if you had a live Jedi in order to get a Knight on TC-2 was last Friday. The "padawan" thing for normal TC chars was closed last Monday or Tuesday?. "your" Jedi would not go from a normal server to test anyway..
hope that helps..

additional information that I've read is, after pub 10 you get your 2nd character (if you haven't allready unlocked). Whatever professions you've done prior to this count towards how rapidly your main character (since it was the one that did the professions) goes through the quests.
Your 2nd character also has the option of doing the jedi quests, or any other profession of your chooseing. You can have a force sensative weaponsmith, a padawan rifleman (*cough*nerf*cough*) or two full blown jedi knights if you choose to do the quests with both of them.
From what I read on the archives that crystals/pearls will be made available through NPC's (although how it didn't elaborate). Crystals/pearls will be "tuned" and apparently as you grow higher as a jedi you get better at "tuneing". Your saber dosen't decay, but the crystal/pearl will slowly decay, and once it decays you tune a replacement and go about your business.
Now I read on the forums an individual said he was at the E3 and spoke with some of the devs who said your crystals/pearls won't "decay" but the tuneing will decay. So when the crystal/pearl's "tuneing" decays too far, you pop it out, retune it, and pop it back in. And also was mentioned that you could then choose your damage type with your sabers (unknown if any of this is true, just rumors but it sounds pretty nice).

Bzzt. Dev statements are that lightsabers won't decay, but the decay will happen to the components in the lightsaber. When a pearl decays down to unusable, you pull the pearl out of the saber and get a new one.
There's been no indication that it would be 'retune and reinsert' at all, all signs point towards needing new components as time goes on, just like everything else.
Likewise, the rumor about damage type is just rumor.
None of the E3 information had anything to do with Jedi, everything to do with JTL, that I've seen posted anywhere reputable.

Okay. I picked up a jedi mission. I saw the jedi dueling in Theed, but it wouldn't let me attack. Was it because I was a declared Reb (got scanned in Kaadara) and she was Reb??

If you had a mission on the Jedi you should have been able to attack regardless of faction. You should make a /bug report with names, times, locations, and anything else that might be important.
