Brother Zhayn,

I thinkKatalisha hit the nail on the head, but not the way you think. It is extremely hard to PvP full template Jedi. My answer to you is don't. Do not PvP them. You're not there to PvP, you're there to kill them. How do you kill them? By hitting them when it hurts. Wait and watch them. Do they like to duel in Theed? Do they like to farm Aa'kuans? Do they like to bust bases? Watch them and take note of their weaknesses. There is no set design, no uber template. Ask yourself when is the absolute worst time for them to encounter a Bounty Hunter and then make sure you're there to follow through.

First Strike is the second most important ability you have, the first is determining when and where to use it. Be patient, watch and learn. Keep your advantage until you know you'll win. Tip the odds in your favor and you'll collect your bounty.

I'd say good luck, but luck has so little to do with it <g>.

Yup. Don't ever let anyone tell you you're a noob or anything for taking the opportunity to get a kill - the only think that I consider to be lame with regards killing someone is LD killing them, everything else falls under 'red = dead'.

As I have said several time in this thread and the other one floating around, patience is the key to killing Jedi now - you need to have either strong healing and kiting skills to wear out thier force or very good stalking skills to follow them around for an hour looking for that perfect shot - whichever route you choose, you have to be patient.

It's a bug that can happen if you get hit by a KD with an action in your combat queue.

You pretty much have to wait for the last shot's cooldown timer to expire before taking the next shot to avoid it as much as possible.

lmao katalisha that explains alot that one of your accounts got banned, u have nothing good to say do you? please leave these forumsand leave the ppl who have questions and dont want to be flamed(me hahaha)

My other account was banned from the forums because I called out SOE on a whole bunch ofEULA issues and they just figured that instead of addressing any of my points in an adultfashionit'd be easier to just delete the thread and ban the account. It had nothing to do with conversing with other players, and if you go read over my post history, you'll see that 90% of my posts are made advising people in one way or another.

I just don't have a lot of time for people who have no idea how anything works and expect to be instantly uber and able to kill anything and anyone after playing the game for two minutes. If you'd have actually asked for help and advice instead of, for example, posting a thread entitled; 'i HATE jedis PERIOD RITE NOW' then I would have been more inclined to offer you some better advice. But since all you want to do is whine that you can't kill people my only practical advice to you was and remains, LEARN TO PVP FIRST.

Killing full template Jedi, unless they have a holo, ahealth crystal for channeling or run away, is not difficult at all. All you have to do is know how to stay alive for 15-20 minutes of a fight, because Jedi are severely limited in long term confrontations by thier force pool - if a Jedi has no force, he can't even swing his lightsaber. The number one thing that most Bounty Hunters do wrong before coming here to whine and cry is they go in trying to kill the Jedi in 60 seconds, burn out thier mind and action pools and die.

Here's what you need to do - get a damage and SAC capped advanced laser rifle, set your default attack to /rangedshot or /placedshot ONLY - then when you come up on your Jedi, hit him with a bomb droid, knock him down, spam advanced critical shot and your next highest damage attack on him for a few seconds - if he goes down fast, he goes down fast - if not, change tactics immediatley to surviving - put your fingers on your heal, root and knockdown hotkeys, if you're a CM then root, stack yourdots and debuffson him, then spend as long as it takes grinding away at him until eitherhis force or mindis gone, with the occasional burst of critical shots and damage attacks to make him heal some extra. Never let your action drop below about 30-50% because if he knocks you down whilst kiting you need to be sure you have enough action to stand back up immediatley - and do not heal unnescessarily - if you are hitting your heals every time your hitpoints go down by 100 or something then you're wasting mind BIG TIME.

Patience is a virtue when fighting full template Jedi post CU.

And one more thing - don't waste your roots and KDs unescessarily - use them only when you have to to escape getting pounded- because when he's down to 500 force and you see that forcerun3 icon appear on him, you'll wish your root or kd was not still cooling down.

Alright.. While not being able to kill full template jedi does suck, fighting them is still fun.

I'll admit I am probably the worst bounty hunter EVAR, but I still have fun doing it. My template thusfar is not true to my sig. I'm a Master Carbineer, Master Bounty Hunter, and am working on getting master combat medic for healing purposes. I've tried using foods, I've even got the uber armor. A suit of RIS with 75% AB protection and health boost thanks to those handy peko peko feathers. Occasionally, I run into a jedi who is just useless without their AB, and are mostly screwed, but two out of two marks last night were failed. I just got rocked. No two ways about it. I won't call the Jedi sissy for cloaking, because it's a tactic they're using to their advantage. That's how mark one caught me. He cloaked, I lost track of him, and he came out of nowhere and sliced and diced me. Mark two, I just royally screwed up. He stood and did nothing for 30 seconds, and I still lost. The way I see it, winning doesn't necessarily matter, as long as you have fun hunting. Think of it, (this is strictly from the BH perspective) you don't get any decay when that jedi rocks your world, but I do know that they lose massive amounts of XP when they get deathblown. I see several Bounty Hunters flailing around like dead fish against a level 80 Jedi, but as other people have stated, Jedi ARE the alpha class. Yes it sucks, but nothing can really be done about it at this point. I've gotten lucky a few times and killed two or three full temp Jedi, but usually end up losing to anything level 80. I do fairly well against level 60-70 Jedi, but you've also got to consider that WOW yeah my health and stuff is higher than theirs. I don't know, losing a hunt just isn't a big thing for me. I don't see any point in complaining because it doesn't do anything.

However, every time I lose, I step back and think about WHY I lost. It usually tends to be due to not thinking tactfully, and just using specials. I don't spend enough time running around and stalking. I just shoot off specials. I have healing, but always forget to use it. But I ALWAYS learn.. 99% of the time that I learn though, I never see that Jedi again and learning his tactics was useless. I've come to the point where I even have a notebook on my desk that I write down the different Jedi I encounter and the different ways they've killed me. It helps. While your equipment really counts, it also takes a lot of skill. A 4.5million credit suit of armor isn't enough to save you from a Jedi. Trust me, I know. Foods aren't always enough to save you, either. However, if you have 4.5million credit armor, good foods, and a damn good weapon all in one, that CAN save you. You just have to learn and drive on.

Well if you are having problems team up with someone. When you get to the terms just find Jedi in the same faction with the same story and the same payout guess what it will be the same Jedi. The easy way to do it is for one to get a mission then look in this order to match: faction, payout, and story.

Interesting stuff, especially about the medical droid. Did not know that and i have one. If i can find some shock absorbant padding, the armor slice shouldn't be a problem. I'm learning. I went from getting my butt kicked every time, to living for a few minutes, to actually killing a couple or coming close until the kd bug reared it's head. This will increase my chances even further, so thanx. Helpful post.

Your not trying hard enough only trouble I have is defenders I have killed 13 of 19 full temp jedi that i engaged I use capped or near capped gear and i have a diffrent template you should consider picking up 4004 cm at the very least thyroid rupture is a jedi worst enemy second best thing is armor break sliced armor oh and i almost its all abouts food..........honestly I say this as a jedi and as a bounty hunter "Jedi heals are to slow and BHs damage is to high but thats just me here are some tips"

Defenders- attack purple bar (force bar) you will have to wear down a defenders force by making him heal alot and chase you around and saber throw and using there force buffs thyroid rupture slows there combat speed wich help give you more heal time and less heals over all wich helps your mind always have back up foods I use high stats low duration to start with then when time comes I switch to long durationg lower stats

enhancers- if they dont run attack the red bar (health) you can out damage there heals even the ones bright enough to use stims I attack only when i have full or near full action bar then i start off with a kd and move on to damage shots using three diffrent attacks and using what ever shot opens up first by that i mean cooldown once I have exhausted my action I go into defense mode this means i apply debuffs thyroid/electro and check my foods and stuff once action is back i start firing away..

dabblers or FoTM template- these jedi seems to reduce enough damage that I am not able to out damage there heals in most cases so the blue or purple bar is your likely your target is they root you pop defense foods and duelist stance and use kd/startle or like shot or paralyze till you can get away this may also be a good time to put debuffs back on

more tips in a short list

doc buffs-I get buffed at starport just as I get my targets planet and i go refresh buffs if i spend to much time tracking my target I do not engage unless i have doc speed buff....

seekers- if your target is a runner keep the seekers on them I do it out of habit I always know where my target is

gun- first thing you look at when shopping for a gun is sac buy capped or near capped sac and damage

pups- damage is nice if you have high speed from two ranged master profs or SEAs but speed pupsis the way to go in my book(also make sure you buy the best pups on server post-cu pups add to one thing take from another for example +25% damge +6% speed yes it says +6% but it is adding to your speed in turn makes it slower so do vendor search and find best available

armor- recon is best no doubt but my template won't let me use recon cus without a ranged master prof it takes away 20% of my combat speed and I cant spare that so I use comp armorfrom MBH I have full certs but I am working on my BH armor wich i plan on ADKing with +25 SEAs all over it BH armor is a little higher energy stats (Lightsabers are energy) and almost double the condition then comp armor so BH armor is my choice for armor.

slicing armor- you will need "reactive micro plating" and "shock absorbant padding" and a smuggler to armor break slice your armor

"Armor break slice is one of the best improvments you will notice there damage is reduced unfairly reduced"

healing eff-when wearing a full suit of armor you can wear a shirt and a bando with BIO tissue my choice is healing you and get them as high as +19 healing but that don't matter my understanding is those stats are capped at +25 so you get a shirt +15 and a bando +15 healing you have more than enough i could be wrong on my numbers but I think i got like 150 points better heals

healing droid- I group my droid and set follow me this droid is +110 medical i dont pay alot of attention to numbers but with my clothing/droid food combo i heal for well over 1500 (if jedi destroys droid it still work as long as your in range use area heal to get it off the ground and following you again)

food-I'm still dabbling with foods but regen action/mind is number 1 on my list

blue booster- is spice of choice I have no idea why so many people are using any spice other than booster blue

starting fight foods

mandowine- is 7-9 mins of +200 action/mind regen and 400+ to the health pool (65 fill low duration)

or

canape- is 300+ health bonus/ 200 mind regen 10mins I think 28 fill

and

blob candy

or

breath of heaven-just like mando wine only +50 mind instead of 200

and

spice tea <-------need to confirm that combo works can spice tea go over BoH hmmm..... think If you take BoH first that works

*eat blob candy ahead of time if thats your choice of action regen food so that the filling goes away before you reach your mark

Defense food

two ways to do this with foodA or B

A-save most or food filling for synthsteak (40secs of 40% less damage 25 fill) or exo-protien wafers ? (22 secs of 20% less damage at 5 fil ?????)

B-used defense/block/dodge foods pikatta pie 50+dodge/vegiparsine +100 melee defense

drinks- vayorbrock+25 block/

others foods ruby biel ? can use a stim every 30 secs for about 20 mins

(ruby whatever should be used by everyone I use stim almost every time I get KDed you take more damage on the ground and KD bug gets us all sometimes I know how to get up fast but the KD bug at the very least slows be down a little so I hit stims when im on my back if mark is in attack range then get up)

hope this helps GL in killing the Jedi scum..

Feel free to edit my mispellings and such
