Thats currently the strongest pistol template you can get at the moment I think, But the down side is that you can have no medic skills with it.

yea everyone can use stims.. but as someone else postedthey ould use alot of mind,heal for small ammounts, or cost alot to make and buy.

Until medic skills get jacked by the CU you could consider trying:


Master Pistoleer

3040 Bounty Hunter

2040 Medic (the 2xxx is not really necessary, but i like to pve sometimes too and hate big bleeds)

Novice Brawler (intimidate is your friend til it gets jacked too)


"steak+exo-protein wafers once steak wears off+intimidate+ls psg = your life....try not to lose them."


Last Ditch is a great pistol special, and the stun effect on it when it lands is nice, and a ranged knockdown is cool (not all that without an easily inflicted dizzy state attack though) but in my own experience the medic skills and a combination of torso and stopping shots work well too.


Go Last Ditch if you want to hunt the lower end jedi primarily, but against the higher end jedi you really want to be able to soak and heal as much of their saber damage as possible, so the extra medic helps.


If the Jedi swaps out their Darth Paul doublebladed to a one handed saber offense, pop muon gold and a canape or two and your mind regen + the dmg reducing techniques listed above will help a great deal.


Pistols spec bh is a fun template if you want some really engaging fights with mls jedi.

the preliminary numbers look good for you


ranged defense 220 to 230 depending on weapon equiped

melee def 140 to 150. make sure you wear your assault armor!

ranged accuracy of at least 200 for pistols/carbines. 270 for rifles

speed is good too.


all in all, you should be able to blow your opponents away!!


medic seems kinda lame though. according to CU notes every combat prof will be able to use stims w/out taking medic skills. save yourself the 18 points and get 3 boxes in Carbines or Pistols instead to make your ranged abilities even better. for instance you canadd Carb 0030 for increased def mods or Carb 0300 for increased carbine and general accuracy. you can get similar results from Pistols 0300 or Pistols 0003.

Yeah, I thought about that. I will move medic to my alt, and just use them together. And as CM, my alt can throw poison/disease (if I understand correctly.

Hmmm I am regrinding ready for the CU and having played the beta a bit I am stuck between MBH M Carbines and MBH M Rifles. If anyone has played either of these combo's in live let me know how they work.


I have only played MBH Pistoleer before.

I currently have

Master Rifleman

Master Pistoleer


ButI was thinking of picking up

4030 BH

4410 Smuggler

Master Rifleman


Is It worth switching for LD and Concussion shot? Can i keep a target rooted for just as long or amI wasting my time in tryingto switch?

Is there a better template with 2 differetn root shots?
