Wear a full set of armour, get a buff at your local buff bot if you want its not really worth it, they'll wear off before the fight is even close to finishing if its a worthy Jedi, get some modded clothes, especiall healing eff, make sure all wounds are healed, your food is ready and preferably macroed, weapon is puped and has enough shots left on it. Its basically, be ready before hand and look for any advantage you can.

I will be honest.

I was MBH/MR/4000 CM for a while. What i found was this. As far as healing, i did okay, could last a good long while against most jedi. WHat i found though, was that my damage output was just too low to do enough damage to the jedi to put them in any real danger. Even with a pretty good laser rifle, i could not damage them enough. I would hit for like 200-300 damage, missing a lotif they had aura or valor up,whereas they would hit for 800-1200. My only benefit was range, but even then i had some jedi who would just pull out a rifle and damage me with ranged attack almost as much as i did them with headshot/crit shot.

I am not a noob to pvp. I have pvp'd extensively since the launch of the game, and generally know what to do in a fight. STill though, even though i could go toe to toe with a lot of jedi for a good long while, i lacked the damage output to get past the defenses of even 0040 defenders, and other templates, i.e. Master Enhancers with their stasis and such, ended up being tough for me. If i ran up against an MLS with force suppression, it was over much more quickly. Much respect for those MBH/MR that can take out full templates.

SO i went with the FOTM, i.e. MBH/MCM with much more success. Basically the addition of the fire/poison/disease/thyroid rupture/electrolytedrain to my specials is actually enough to take a lot of jedi down. IT is the damage output of the ticks, i think, that is most helpful.I mean, i still lose some, but i win some as well, against full templates to boot, straight up 1 on 1, without even having to rely on a successful alpha strike. MBH/MR was fun, but shooting for 150-300 pts of damagejust wasnt cutting it,even with those jedi i could stand toe to toe with for hours.

Im glad to know that Im not the only one who got his ass whoopedby a jedi. I got the jump on a jedi last night in front of his guildmates which probably wasnt the smartest thing to do but I got balls nonetheless.*L* But yeah I knocked him down, rooted him, sniper shot, critical shot, head shot and body shot and yet I barely put a scratch on him. And Im packin' a Nullifier X which does 1056 max dmg, not exactly a toy cap gun, yet I looked like some punk with a newbie rifle after he got through with me. The fight lasted about 30 after I got all my hits in and my root wore off, he force ran up on me and took me out with 5 hits! I even had 4 food buffs to give me an extra 370+ of health and ability. And thats when I found out that using assault armor is ineffective against lightsabers which really sucks since recon armor is uglier than all sin. I am using the MBH/MR/Pistol 0003 template but I guess from what Im reading, its success rate is not all that good.

I've found that if you are patient with the MBH/Mrile/CM 4xxx you will have a better chance if you use cover up. if you are patient enough and wait for the right time to attack, you can already be in range to do so if you cover up. it may not work all the time, but its better than running in Rambo style

Yes, i did that also. MCM is very, very useful.

Problem with cover up, is that most jedi arnt stupid. They see a dot on their radar aproach, stop for a few seconds, then dissapear. Result is, they buff and walk over to you, or they cloak/Forcerun away from you.

MBH, Mpistols, CM xxx4

Now i find this template to be awesome, get a damage capped ie. 960ish damage FWG5 pistol (kinetic damage), 65-69 sac, +15 pistol accuracy mod, +50iss accuracy bonus, speed or crit slice it, wack a damage pup in taking it to just under 1100 damage.

Get some 75% AB sliced ubese with around 8k energy resists, right foods buffs and you're good to go.

One question i hear, why CM xxx4 and not CM 4xxx, well the simple answer is if you can slow thier attacks you wont have to heal as often, and with medic xx1x and CM i can heal for 950 a pop with healing clothes. Also the root, intimidate shot, disarming shot means you can tank almost any template with a duelist stance, even if they have suppression.

Another thing, a lot if not all jedis wear PSGs, i find that i can do more damage with the kinetic pistol than i do a damage capped ALR. Also the sac and speed of a pistol is much better, meaning you can attack more often.

Any thoughts on this?
