also cant see from screenie but if your armour broke and kd and have ranged arm fitted and get hit by bodyshot which hits arms u will take insane dmg as arms have no armour protection

A pre CU sabre against armor with 5-6k energy resists ie assault armor, with no AB slice/hardening , also while KD and not using mitigation foods (synth and exo), no ranged defense foods, that damage is probably about normal.

PreCU Sabers are a great threat indeed, but can be countered by popping a steak and running a Duelist Macro. Sure, they still hurt, but not nearly as effective if you throw down your cards at the right moment.


I outlast most of my guild Jedi in group hunts or PvP simply because I'm good at clicking a few buttons at the appropriate times these are deemed necessary. Of course havinga quick trigger finger on the KD recovery helps quite a bit as well.


Not a be all end all counter but it helps alot..

Consider yourself lucky Lightsaber Damage was taken out of the game. Imagine no damage mitigation at all...


If you think this is fun, wait until premiums start dropping again and LS speed and tapes are fixed. Jedi are gimped to the blazes from bugs right now.

No time stamp but look at the fire dot. Dots every 5 seconds i believe and these attacks hit me well inside its tick so i estimate them to be around 3-4 seconds from first attack to last.
Now yes i agree that most new jedi cannot output anywhere near this damage but how i ask (even with our so called uber healing as mcm's or docs) can we even hope to stand against that.
/bow to jedi who killed me, call you self ubber if you like.

I agree that these "uber" pre-cu sabers need to be taken out of the game. It's a little ridiculous when a jedi hits you for over 4000 damage before you can get in your volley of attacks basically. How in the world does that put up ANY kind of a fight at all? I personally won't hunt jedi because of this...its pretty much a waste of time.

I'm happy doing npc boss missions personally.






There is nothing UBER about any lightsaber, STONE SWORDS do more damage now. And that guys armor was really crappy. Jedi is a very broken and underbalanced profession, the DEVS have even stated this numerous times now.

Because you give the jedi who fight me the actual thought that "oh another fotm bh/cm, easy fight" instead of running.


First off...why are you wearing assault armor? battle armor FTW if you can't use recon


its obvious to me at this point that either a) you are NOT one of the better BH on the server or your server is severely lacking in good BH's



I'm guessing you are mbh/mcm 0-0-04 pistols? in which case why are you not rooting them as well... you have a ranged KD too...


if not...it doesn't matter your template isn't to blame, your lack of knowledge about your opponents and your own template is to blame.

qfe here it is to all you CM's out there. paralyze--debuff--run 35m away--root while still paralyzed--dots--run 65m away--KD--crit hit--they shouldn't be close...can't get close because of electrolyte drain...and you will almost have your root recharged by the time they do get close. fully dotted..debuffed and dead in no time at all. before they even get a hit on you...then they use supression...paralyze again. supression wears off faster then paralyze unless they are master enhancer.(rarely they are) and while they are still paralyzed...KD again. its like clockwork. just take off that auto attack so your paralyze doesn't accidently break. its simple, believe it or not the odds are kinda stacked in your favor. i never lose to any other melee prof. in a duel..if im bug free..and i usually have broken armor or on thing or another. PSG+battle armor and high DPS weapon with a SAC pup and you will chew through them in no time. ive been pwned pretty fast before i really learned the CM template and yeah they had old awesome tuned sabers..but, who cares! if you are good you won't get hit often enough for a 1200 stim not to keep you alive. good luck and make sure ALL you stuff is in good shape and fully buffed before you hunt him/her again.

My question to you folks is why should these sabers be nerfed? Most of these sabers are owned by veterans who worked hard to get their pearls to make the saber the way it is. When the cu hit, my legendary t21 was still quite legendary. Yes not everyone had a gun like that, but my point is, if we were lucky enough to collect it pre cu, why should we be punished just because some folks want to whine about it. Yes I say whine, because thats what it is. Boo Hoo, he did this much damage to me, thats not fair and unbalanced. I will also go to the other extreme, the Combat medics dont need nerfed either. They are perfectly fine and people just need to learn how to fight them.


The biggest problem were have here gang, is instead of people learning how to play their specific profession, they expect soe to conform the game to make it easier for them. We need to quit with all these nerf calls and learn how to play our templates that we chose to play(for whatever reason we chose what we did).


Pre cu, I spent 5 straight months in the krayt graveyard farming pearls for my jedi. I worked many hours killing krayts to come up with the pearls I use in my saber. SOE has now removed these from the game, which I dont think is right, but not much I can do about that. Not all jedi have these types of sabers and the ones who do, you just need to learn some tactics to take us out. I can be beat, and have been many times. If you cant play your temp, quit hunting jedi til you can. Any good bh should be able to stand up to this.


Oh yea, on a side not gang, there are guns out there right now that will do the same amt of damage to a jedi that this guy was taking. So please, quit calling for nerfs and learn how to play your character. If you cant, I hear dancer isnt that hard of a profession to learn.

the reason is...most if not ALL CRAFTED weapons got converted into CRAP


CRAFTED pre-curb sabers however got converted to Uber weapons...

You're pretty far behind the times, there, bloodmonk.


Pre-CU sabers did convert to 0 action cost sabers, but then the developers put in a fix for that which gave them 100 action cost.


Now, pre-CU sabers are a touch better than post-CU sabers, because thespeed is a coupledecimal pointsfaster, and the damage is 20-30 points higher,than can be achieved while still getting 100 SAC in post-CU crafting, but they are hardly uber in and of themselves. Post-CU crafted 'normal' weapons are far better than their pre-CU counterparts after the conversion.


Most of the Jedi in my guild now have post-CU sabers that they crafted, because the extra damage of the pre-CU saber was not worth the extra five points of SAC that they could experiment away.
